Hook2 Map Question

Post by Pat »

I am considering a purchase of a Hook2 unit. I need to know the difference between the units with the US Inland Maps and the Units with US / Canada Nav+ Maps. Are they the same unit with the second one already having the NAV+ pre-installed? Can the Inland Map unit be upgraded with NAV+ maps later by purchasing Navionics or similar card?

Also, would the Hook2 Tripleshot 7 and 9 use the same transducer? Thanks

To answer your question on the difference between the mapping options. One is the standard unit ($799 for the 9") and the other one with Nav+ is a special bundle that includes a Navionics card. This sells for $869, so you are essentially getting a Navionics card for $70 which is awesome. They are the same unit besides that.

You could buy the card separately but it is a $200 card so you definitely save by getting the bundle.
