I want to install the tm150 on to my transom however . the boat shop is highly recommending me not to because of engine overheat and cavitation. I know people are running this transducer on there rig. I have a 19 foot 01 stratus bass boat . I was looking to install it on to the jack plate alongside the ss3d. After reading the manual it said that the transducer would over heat if ran out of the water (when I'm on pad). I was wondering if the tm150 would be pinging at all time or if just when chirp is slected or the TM150 is selected through the unit. If you have any ideas and suggestion I would greatly appreciate thanks.
