Re: Who makes this buzzbait?
I am not exactly sure but it looks similar to a Persuader buzzbait I have.

Looks like an older persuader buzzbait.
Re: Who makes this buzzbait?
The blade bangs on the head of the buzzbait leaving it dented and missing paint. are they still available? I have a friend here in Japan who wants them...

Try this link and see if there is anything that looks similar. It may be a discontinued model. They have one that has a clacker attached to the front wire jsut under the blade that makes quite a bit of noise.

Re: I have the answer
Hollywood, I have been using this buzzbait for years. It is in my opnion, the noiest buzzbait on the market. A former team partner of mine use to say "that damm thing is so noisey, it will scare the fish away". It is made by a lure company in Marion Illinois. They make a 1/2 oz and a 1 oz for Muskie, but believe me, the 1oz will work for bass. They also make spinnerbaits and some jigs. They use to not have a website and you had to order by phone, but they now have a website at www.boogermanlures.com, Yes, Boogerman lures is the name of the company. Hope this helps your friend in Japan would be nice to see an american made lure do some damage to their bass over there. My last price sheet showed the bait at $3.75 (cheap in this day & age) may be more by now. Haven't tried the website, but phone number is 618-964-1236, best regards, Bob Myskey www.fishclearlake.com

I will check them out when I get home. I appreciate all the help. On of the guys on the Tour over here asked me about them as he only had one and been using it for a long time...

Guessing boogeyman head knocker, or maybe a booyah bait. Probably not a Persuader. The have longer wire, and long shanks.
If you get bored, go to Persuader home page. I think I am still there with some Clear Lake fish on the front page. (Probably 2001 or so.)
I think your fishing over there is gonna help out tons when you get back.
Good fishing to you H wood!

Andy,
I am so excited to arrive back. Before I was a deep clear water fisherman who struggled to understand tidal and shallow stained/dirty water.
Now all I fish is shallow and I mean shallow! and Dirty hardly covers it. There are so many more things I need to be aware of here with all the dead water, a million bank fisherman and a half million bass boats on any given day on a huge lake!
The presentations I learn here are unbelievable and I am excited to try them out on the delta when i return....
