TRINTY LAKE WOULD BE A GOOD BET FOR A HOG. STATE RECORD IS OUT OF THERE AND ITS NOT UNUSUAL TO CATCH 5 PLUS POUNDERS OUT OF THERE.I HAVE PERSONALY CAUGHT AND REALEASED 3 OVER 5 AND HAD ONE THAT MIGHT HAVE GIVEN THE STATE RECORD A RUN FOR ITS MONEY. ILL NEVER KNOW BUT IT WAS HUGE. I WAS USEING LIVE CRAWDADS AT THE TIME AND THATS ONE OF THERE FAVORITES . ITS A GREAT LAKE. THERES SOME BIG BLACKS IN THERE TO . UP NORTH AROUND THE DREDGER TAILINGS IS A GOOD AREA TO START FOR BOTH SPECIES.

Believe it or not, let's not forget Lake Hennesey, Conn Dam for the locals. Lots of 5's in that lake, maybe bigger.
Show me the water and I will fish.

Good luck to the new comer who can actually figure out where the ball park is!

Currently, Pardee has Trinity beat by a large margin.

I drove by Hennesey last week and thought it looked pretty good from the road. Found the website when I got home and it said no motorboats allowed. I swear there were about a dozen boats trailers in the parking lot and at least one was a bass boat. Anyone know if motorboats are allowed there?

try Trinity or Pardee, this time of year Almanor. Or go more North into Oregon and fish the Umpqua River.

Phil, there is a horsepower restriction at Henessey. Im almost certain that 10hp is the largest engine you are alloweed to RUN at the lake. But, you can launch any size engine, you just cant turn it on.

Keep doing online research to verfiy this stuff. Shouldnt take too long to come up with a number. Or, go to fishsniffer.com and do a search of Henessey. You will find a number for somebody to call.
