Just wondering what kind of weight you folks think it will take to qualify on Friday?

What did you mean? Did you mean that this weather is raising your expectations or confounding your attempts?

I think the top weight will be 12-15lbs, but the top ten will need only 8lbs.

With this warming trend this week Melones will kick out some nice fish on Friday.

My guess to win would be 15lbs and to make the top ten it's going to take 10lbs or more.

Since there is still no anglers list posted, how do you even know if you are in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and here it is Wed.......

That 15lbs and ten to make the top ten sounds like a lot of smoke to me. All the guys I know who have been up there and don't lie about what they are catching say 8-9lbs and maybe one limit at 10-15lbs... the big girls are up but as of now they don't want to bite..maybe Friday will be different..

That's a tough looking lineup.....I guess I am going to have to step up and catch a heavier bag then the 7.5lbs. I have been catching  . Should be fun though, see you guys Friday.

I went to New Melones for the first time yesterday(Awesome looking lake), and spent about 4 hours in vain looking for some spots to fish. I caught a bunch of of smallish trout but no bass. I talked to a bunch of people and didn't find anybody claiming anything bigger than 2 lbs.

Kyle Rasmussen
Joe Bruce
John Chiarpotti
Aaron Cole
Alex Niapas

Here is the top five, no clue on the rest! This is in no particular order because it is just a qualifier. Although if I had to put it in order it would be:

Kyle Rasmussen
Aaron Cole
John Chiarpotti
Joe Bruce
Alex Niapas
