Lake Oroville First Time
Lake Oroville First Time
My son is out of school this coming Thursday and I was thinking of taking him to Lake Oroville. He's never really caught a lot of fish and I hear this lake can crank 'em out. Not worried about size. What lures do you all recommend? I'm hearing drop shotting robo worms. Anything else we might try? Thanks!

Tubes in shad and green pumpkin colors also work very well. Try not to use over a 1/4 jig head. Oh and take lots of terminal tackle along with all the fish are even more rocks.

Topwater Vixen, or poppers in the morning, football head jigs with Cin/Blk hula grubs, DS any Robos, Darter heads any Robos. That should get you some numbers!

For the kid, tie on a darter head/ drop shot with almost any color worm (3-6 inch) and he will catch fish all day.
