Where to launch at Bullards

Post by kraetzer »

Planning on going up to Bullards and with the low Lake was wondering where the best place to launch would be?

Thanks and tight lines,
kraetzer

The marina. the other ramper is out of the water. you can still launch out of it but you will be in the mud and no dock.

Emerald Cove Marina only. Dark Day ramp is out of the water. Marina ramp is nearly out of the water, but you can still launch easily, and there is a dock for you to use. Bite is decent, just cover lots of water.

Not sure when you are going, but as of Wed morning - watch for ice on ramp!

When you get out of the marina, make sure to go through the middle of the anchored houseboats. The anchor cables between the boats and the shore are exposed, and would ruin yer day before it starts!!!

Thanks again. Will keep an eye out for ice and try to stay away from those cables.

Finally had a chance to head up there (thanks to the storm on the weekend) and unfortunately as far as I can see the concrete part of the ramp was out of the water. So it was a no go for me. Bullards really needs some water.

Yep, that's at the dam. You can still launch, as the gravel below the cement is pretty solid - 4x4 for sure. The snow on the ramp getting to the water is a different story. Friggin' cold up here.

Went up to the Dam tonight and the ramp is closed, there is a 3-4foot drop at the end of the gravel part that extended the concrete ramp. I then drove over to DarkDay ramp and there is a cable across the road/ramp and a huge mudhole/dirt pile behind that. There is officially no way to launch at bullards now. Sorry for the bad news...

If I had my Aluminum done, I would figure out a way to get it in there. I bet in a couple weeks it will be great.
