WWBS starts in less than two weeks

Were less than two weeks away from the start of the 3rd season for the Weekend Warrior Bass Series presented by Anderson Toyota! With lots of new things in the works, this season is shaping up to be the biggest yet.

For those that are not aware we have split up our championships and you now have an opportunity to qualify to fish two championship tournaments in one season. You only have to fish four of the seven events in one region to qualify for that regions championship. Any team that fishes three events in each region will qualify for both championships. Our championships this next season will both fall in May. No more finishing off the year and then have to wait all summer to go to a championship event. The Arizona Region Championship will be May 2-3, 2015 at Roosevelt Lake launching out of Windy Hill. The Havasu Region Championship will be May 16-17, 2015 on Lake Havasu. As with all of our championships there will be NO ENTRY FEE required! Each team will be responsible for a small insurance charge and a release boat fee for the Havasu Championship. There will also be daily options that teams can choose to get into.

As with all Weekend Warrior events there is no membership to fish. You pay one flat entry fee of $200 per team. We payback prize money to 1 place for every 4 entries and the top two biggest fish each event.

This season we will be offering the Taipan Rods Angler of the Year award. The Anglers of the Year will each receive a Taipan Rod and Entry fee’s into all seven of their regions events for the next season.

David Burns with DJ Custom Jigs will be providing first out of the money tackle packs for all of our events this season. These high quality jigs are all made here in the USA.

CarToyz of Havasu has come on board this year and will be sponsoring an angler appreciation bbq at each of our qualifying events on Saturday after the weigh in.

Our first Arizona Region event will be October 11, 2014 at Apache Lake. We will be launching out of Burnt Coral and will have a 3:00 weigh in time for the first flight. You can register early over the phone or through our website with a credit card. Early registration will also take place at Highway 188 Tackle on Friday October 10, 2014 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM. We will do a random draw for start position at 6:30 for anyone that is pre-signed. Teams may also sign up on Saturday morning at the lake. Any team signing up at the lake will go out in the order in which they sign up.

Our first Havasu Region event will be October 18, 2014 at Lake Havasu. We will be launching out of Windsor launch ramp and will have a 3:00 weigh in time for the first flight. You can register early over the phone or through our website with a credit card. Early registration will also take place at Anderson Toyota on Friday October 17, 2014 from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. We will do a random draw for start position at 6:00 for anyone that is pre-signed. Teams may also sign up on Saturday morning at the lake. Any team signing up at the lake will go out in the order in which they sign up.
