Today, Toyota has issued a recall of and has instructed it's dealers to stop selling 2007-2010 Tundras, along with 7 other Toyota models. It seems there is an issue with the gas pedal, causing these models to "run away". There have been approximately 1600 incidents so far.

Owned my Tundra when they came out in '97 and as a matter of fact, just went over 36,000 miles today and for the first time in my life of owning new vehicles, this is the first one I have NEVER had to take back for ANYTHING under the factory warranty. Toyota will take care of it and for those that had an accident, I feel for you but maybe you should be a little more observant while driving as there are so many ways to quickly take control of your vehicle. Remember that the Tundra is only 1 of 8 Toyota vehicles that will be recalled. If your vehicle VIN starts with the letter J.......you should be OK as it was made in Japan and only the American made vehicles fall into the recall, of which I own. On the upside, should I get stopped for speeding, I have an out by telling them "my gas pedal got stuck"!
