For sale Aftermarket oil injection system designed by former Mercury Marine Director of Outboard Service Dept. and owner of Marine Solutions Robert Kachelek .
Mr Kachelek tried to get Mercury to adopt this improved oil injection for Mercury outboards but was ultimately told it would increase the sales price too much and Mercury Marine passed on the idea . This oil injection system retains the existing oil tanks , oil pump ,pump rotation sensor , and warning alarms on Mercury engines and fits inside the engine cowling .
This oiling system eliminates the weak link on the original factory oiling system (dependence on a fragile crankshaft driven plastic gear that is prone to breaking ) . Engine speed signal is sent to a controller that drives a DC motor coupled to the engine's original oil pump spinning at the same speed as if were being driven by the original plastic gear . A rotation sensor monitors the speed of the oil pump shaft is turning and sounds the engines existing oil alarm if the speed is incorrect or pump stops . I am selling with a Mercury oil injector pump with rotation sensor already installed so you can keep these parts removed from your motor as spares. Installation instructions are also included . $350 + shipping (or local delivery may be possible Sac or Bay area)
