The Angler’s Press Outdoors Youth Anglers League – presented by Gone Fishin’ Marine, saw over forty youth participate in a division embedded within Future Pro Tour events, exclusively designed to help introduce, and encourage all young anglers that love to fish.

Youth pay no entry fee or membership fee to participate, and for their efforts, are rewarded at each event with recognition, trophies, and cash that supports their respective high schools, or youth angling clubs.

In addition, the top youth anglers from the 2017 FPT season have been invited to 2017-18 Future Pro Tour Classic, which will be held March 9-11th at New Melones reservoir and Lake Pardee, where they – for no entry fee, will participate on the final day (Lake Pardee) for their own separate awards, and a 1st place grand prize that consists of a new Sea Eagle Deluxe PF7 inflatable boat valued at over $600 dollars!

Brian Lopez, was this division’s Angler of the Year and is very excited about the possibilities of also being crowned the divisions first-ever champion.

“I can’t wait to get to the Classic!”, noted Brian as he cruised the booths of this year’s Sacramento ISE show looking for the best baits to use at Lake Pardee. I hear that Pardee has MONSTER smallmouth bass that like to eat big in early March… and I am gonna be ready!”

The Youth Anglers League division will be back again for 2018 beginning with the FPT’s New Melones opener on Feb 17th, and the FPT’s Berryessa opener on March 31st so make sure you go to the Angler’s Press Outdoors website to get all the information you need to get your youth signed up and ready to go!

Congratulations to all Youth Anglers League Classic qualifiers!
