WWBT rules question/suggestion

Hey Gary and crew. As we prepare for our teams TOC next month and we prepare for next season. Would it be possible to get rid of the 5 wire max rule for A rigs? Just figured I'd throw the suggestion out there since your advisory board is probably meeting around this time of year for next years adjustments. Either way we can still only have 3 hooks. It would just be nice to be able to use the rigs I already own in the main circuit that I plan on fishing next year.

Either way it's just a suggestion and I'll be there all season. Love the circuit! Thanks

Thanks for suggestion. This will be kicked around. We will be sending out a questionnaire very soon. Many questions are on dates and they are already picked but we'll use info going forward.

Since we're tossing around ideas...how about getting rid of the A-rig?

This has been talked about at length. I don't see the A-Rig going away. It's just another bait now.

I agree with Cvan A circuit without the a rig would be impressive!!! The a rig is a no skill bait. For the past few years too many tournaments have been determined by this bait. It's frustrating that you must throw this to compete. Give the field other options without always having to consider this bait and it will be much more competitive experience

Let see take away the a-rig so they next take away all the swimbaits then take away all the1500 to 3000 graphs on the tournaments boats Then let the air out of the footballs because one team going to have and advantage over the other and why your at it piss and moan more because it easier then learning to adapt to the baits your using and the lakes your fishing it's very simple to do sorry Gary for high jacking the thread 50,000 boats 1000.00 of dollars in graphs and fishing equipment and they complain about a 10.00 bait gezzzzzzzzz

I've thrown the a-rig quite a bit and have never, ever been on a decent bite. It certainly isn't a "end-all" bait to me! If everybody can do it, why stop it?

The tour has banned it. Bass. Has banned it. Nobody ever said anything about graphs etc.... No doubt various reasons for those circuits making those decisions. And it's not about adapting. All good fisherman have to adapt or you don't compete. I look forward to the circuit this year Gary. Thanks for all your commitment to having such a good turnout

If that bait was allowed to be fished during the wwbt tournament season in 2017 then you can't ban it for the TOC in the same season. Now it's a different story you either make it off limits at the beginning of the new season or approve it but you cant ban the bait for one tournament in the same season if it was allowed to be use in that season leading up to the toc rules are rules that why the rules community have them. Gary make it easy on them ban it in 2018 I'm sure the company's that build the bait would be happy you did but I wouldn't follow Flw or on B.a.s.s. on what they do I'm sure you won't lose boat counts in any of your tournaments

The A-Rig still takes just as much skill to throw as any other bait, such as the underspin, ETC I'm not sure why people always think its sum kind of magical bait that just puts fish in the boat. its Just like any other bait, if the situation is right it will work tremendously , however i have numerous friends who even yet to catch a fish over multiple pounds on it. However i still think the Rule should remain 5 wire, three hooks. done. since we are on the topic here yall go

i personally 100% agree that the A-rig needs to be gone. It's banned in the "big" circuits for a reason.

I'm all about hearing what our anglers want and a survey will be sent out to every person that fished with us this year. There's a comment section on the survey. Please use it. This is how we determine needed changes.

I own a umbrella rig company so of course I will be all for allowing 5 wire rigs to be used in WWBT. I believe there is a time and place for the rig, and now a days you have to know what your doing to win with it its not a magic lure. Honestly how many WWBT events were one with Umbrella rigs this year? NONE! Drop the Mic!

I've won quite a bit of money in the last 2 years in wwbt and haven't caught a single fish on the umbrella rig. Most of the team's that are in the money are not catching there fish on it.Only works in very few situations. I throw it all the time. Never caught a fish on it in a tournament
