THIS SUNDAY - BASIC Navionics Workshop - Rocklin

How many of you own the latest, greatest, and most expensive sonar technology available, but only know how the ON/OFF switch works?

To make things worse, often times the instruction manual provided seems to be designed for MIT graduates, and “calling the factory” only serves to add to your frustration.

Well don’t sweat…help is on the way as Angler’s Press Outdoors - via Sportsman’s University, will present a dynamic “Basic Electronics and Sonar" Workshop that will be hosted at Bass Pro Shops in Rocklin on Sunday, Oct 29th from 2-6pm!

Travis Huckaby, national product specialist for Navionics and Johnson Outdoors, will be on site to share with you, his extensive knowledge regarding boat electronics, and electronic mapping concepts - coming from an angler’s perspective and designed specifically to help you put more fish in the boat!

This workshop will be hosted in a lab/lecture format and you can expect to learn:

Fish Finders, Trolling Motors, Shallow water Anchors: (2-4pm)

- Basic functionality
- Setting alarms
- Resolving noise/interference issues
- Setting Waypoints
- Understanding Side Imaging
- Transducer technology/functionality
- Downloading software - Offloading stored data

Navionics - Electronic Mapping: (4-6pm)

- Basic principles of electronic mapping
- Navigating from point A to point B
- Installing mapping chips
- Course plotting - Storing data/settings
- Data recall
- Map/Software upgrading

No matter what brand of electronics you own, or what species you fish for, this workshop is designed to help you understand your electronics, and will have something for EVERYONE.
