First I'd like to say that Cooch's family did a wonderful job with the service. The service was great, food was great and that damn slide show was amazing! That one really got me and broke me.

I've been on this forum for over a decade and I have met a ton of people over the years. And I have formed many long standing friendships with many people on here over the years too. Did you all forget about the services?? Look I get the fact that we all have lives, jobs and priorities but I gotta say I was pretty surprised about the size of the turn out for Cooch. I expected to see a ton of people I knew personally or knew of and I seen a hand full of people. That shocked me and I'm not the only one who thinks that. When i say a hand (5) full I mean a hand full of people I know. That was sad to see, I mean Cooch touched hundreds of peoples lives and gave everything he could to everyone. I have seen this first hand so many times over the better part of two decades I've known him. I'm not trying to be a a$$ but I was stunned to see this and it hurt. I could start dropping a whole bunch of names that didn't show but I will take the high road on that one. Again i know we all have our priorities I get it but damn!

Ash, good to see you brother I knew you would be there. I know you know what the word friends means!

I'm also gonna call out my own personal friends on here too! Where the F where you at homies?? The LL is deep we coulda filled the church up. You all know I'm gonna be blasting you in the L tonight, WTF? I know some guys had priorities, I get that. We talked about this for a month and I'm not giving out free passes to the ones that shoulda been there! Cooch was the LL, his house was basically our head quarters, did you forget that?? Thanks to the brothas that showed and kept it real.

Rest in peace Andy, my brother, mentor and true friend! If there is another side I will find you. I love you big Bro!

Well said G-Man, much more eliquent then I would have been. It was disappointing in the very least that the community didn't turn up in force. I expected to see an overflowing street but I guess today we post a like on Facebook and it's "good enough" Cooch was more then that for me and for our community, a true ambassador. I ain't waitin to find him on the other side, cause I will carry on his spirit of community, friendship, and guidance that he has shown me.

Good to see you and the other crew as well, even that Raider Mike guy

Delta Bass Club had their monthly tournament today, so only a couple of us were able to attend. I'm sure there were many others who were in the same boat, in one way or another.
No one appreciated all that Cooch did for bass fishing more than Delta Bass Club.
And they did say goodbye to Cooch at their weighin, and had a moment of silence in his honor.
There is a memorial tomorrow at noon at Russo's, so those who couldn't attend today's services can still have a chance to say goodbye and thank you.

Mark, I've always respected your posts and opinions even if I didn't like them! But I was really shocked about the turn out. Much respect to the Delta Bass Club!

Kris and I Loved that those that Loved Cooch made it there, Wife and I Loved that those that could not make it there were still in Spirit - Our two son's were there as well in spirit as they both were at their job's, Wife and I Loved The Cucchia Family (And Johnny) and are so so Thankful for Today and always in everything they gave in sharing their Father with us all on his life here on earth as we know it.

Kris and I were more than surprised to say the least at the turnout. I have been there at the Neighborhood Church back in the late '80's and thought that there was no way they could house everyone. They remodeled - And it is a very nice fellowship hall that has more than tripled in size from when I was last there - And they removed those old wooden pews.

John - Thanks for your sharing and everything you did for Cooch , His Family and his Legacy ! And What he did for you, (And you did for him) just like he did for A LOT of us !! - His dream I believe lies still in the Pro-Teen in Giving, Rather than receiving in anything in his Life - Other than his Kid's and Grand Kids.

We all loved our LL Tourneys Shindigs and Poker Parties - that pictures were taken of that were never seen (Thank Gawd) The stories on how that all started - sTony started it all - as he was about ready to loose his mind at some point for "overmoderating" us all . But our lightheartedness with Cooch and love of fishing and helping - well it created a secrete sub-forum that was underground of Degenerates ... That Cooch not only opened up his home and life to us - but also taught the Delta to all in a way only he could. Phil Burgess (Philmyballz) wast the fastest to absorb and put together all the puzzle pieces with his time, dedication, coaching and Love from Cooch ... Travelling from Fresno daily towing his boat before and after work even.

So So So many more stories SOOOOOO Many more stories and Peoples ...... But it blossomed on the ever O Mighty Hats that followed under the care of his parenting to all of us "Lounge Lizzards". (sample picture)

Again - SOOOOOO Many more stories and Peoples !!! LOL !!

I need to log off for now - But

Cucchia Family - Thank you for sharing and showing that awesome slide show ! And your Awesome Hospitality today to all that were able to share with you in Cooch's Day.

I can honestly say that I know who are the other Two Boat Mates are filling His boat as he fishes, and are snuggled now with him for this weekend football games ~ that went before him to break in his new green sofa set ........ And that is Delta and Taylor = His Lab's. Unlike Johnny - They are always on the front of the boat and never have to duck in worried about being hooked. Har Har !!

All of my Families Love to you and all,
Forever grateful for everything - And remember then daily,
Always,
The Deneen Family

Lindsey and Family - Let us know if you ever need anything at anytime and promise to stay in touch- We are here for you all.

Great words Dan! Funny thing is with all the bs we the LL caused on here it was just fun. Gotta have thick skin to hang with us. Cooch started us, and he was us. I could post pics that would make u wanna slap your momma. Lol! I don't GAF about Coochs fishing I care about the man he was. And I can absolutely assure you that no one knew him like the LL.. Funny thing no one Ole school WB knew it. Gator? Haha, LL too. Brotherhood. Many more people too.

It was a great tribute to Cooch and the slide show was just amazing, made me laugh and cry a little. A great job by Lindsey and all those who shared pictures. I too was a little disappointed at the turnout, but I also understand. I would have liked to come for the celebration at Russo's today, but it is our granddaughters 3rd birthday party. Life does indeed happen and sometimes we have to make choices. It was great to see some of the original Nutcases, yet another sub-group under Andy's influence. We talked about doing a Nutcase Classic reunion next year and Bob & I are going to take that on to get it organized. It will certainly be a tribute to Cooch. It was great to hear stories and share them. I drifted away from fishing and Western Bass for a number of years, but never drifted away from Andy. He will always be my partner and my brother.

I suggest the future Pro-Teen Tournaments be named the C.O. & A.C. (Conroy Oakley & Andy Cuccia) Pro Teen Tournament. He is certainly worthy of that legacy.

For all that stop in @ Russo's .... Take a seat and just remember Cooch for a spell. Even if you did not know him - He will still talk with you.

His ashes were dispersed today on an incoming tide on the Delta with Family and his loved ones on just a GORGEOUS Delta Day !! The Heavenly Father made sure the weather was nice for the pontoon boat for all the family and grand kids.

While we were remembering - I kept thinking for what sTony said to me as we read his remembrance cards yesterday - "Bigger Than Life Himself" ... And he LOVED to Excite people and teens and kids ..... One of his Greatest joys, was to sneak down to the corner of the ramp and light his Fireworks to awaken again and awe everyone of the start of the Greatest Fishing Tournament EVER ! The Pro-Teen !! (Man did he ever love his fireworks !!

Thanks for posting the pics from today Dan. I was at the service yesterday and was surprised at the low turnout as well. Thanks G-man for posting something. I know there was IFmas and other events, but it was still a shock that so few people showed up. I haven’t been active on here in a long time, but first joined back in the NCBF days, and that is how I like many first met Cooch. Now my goal will be to spread the passion and excitement for fishing to others, as Cooch has to many of us. That is what Cooch would want of us, and is the best way for everyone to honor him.

I wasn't lucky enough to know him, but loved his sharing of knowledge. seemed like a guy respected & loved by so many, don't understand how some local toury could keep people away from his service. Probably another derby next month, Cooch is gone

Guys I'm shocked. I had no idea Cooch had passed. I feel terrible about this. Cooch and I had a lot of pranks over the years. Him and that damn rainbow stick he tagged me with and posted everywhere and me busting his balls about the Coochie scale for his rod tip. I've been away hunting in CO and not watching my computer. I'm surprised I never got a message on this. I will miss Cooch. He was a great guy without a harmful bone in his body.

I called Jody for info on Cooch right after I made my post. I then realized that Cooch had passed the month before and I'd been in Texas almost that whole month. I missed US Open because of it.

I'm sick about losing Cooch. I'll forever remember his voice and our pranks ...when the Bass-turd :) seemed to always come out on top !!!

Corn of Flour Tortillas ~ Or Both as well in the Coochie Wrap with his smoked tri-tip.

Wonderful article. Captures the kindred spirits of two very special people. I know many of us are struggling with Andy's passing, just as people did with Conroy. I am very lucky to have known them both.
