Yes, I live in the Clearlake Oaks Keys and during duck season I see hunters going out and hear the shotguns in the early mornings on weekends.

They seem to be going out near the indian land by Rattlesnake Island at our end of the lake, but I would suppose the whole lake is open to hunting provided you keep the proper distance.

Check with F & G so you know exactlly wear you can hunt. I think you can only hunt up in Rodman Slough NOT on the main body.

I believe the rules have to do with the cities of Clearlake and Lakeport. I think you have to stay one mile away. There are duck blinds in the tules all around the casino area. Check DFG to be sure.

WE USED TO HUNT ALL OVER THE LAKE, MOSTLY WE HAD BLINDS IN THE STATE PARK AREA TULES BACK IN THE 70'S AND 80'S, BUT NOW , WOW , I'D SURE BE CAREFUL NOW DAYS WITH ALL THE BASS FISHERMEN ALL WEEK EVERY WEEK. WE DIDN'T HAVE AS NEAR AS MANY FISHERMEN BACK THEN !!

GOOD LUCK AND CARE !!
