This fishing thing has hooked me so deep, I even built a pond in the backyard to hold em. While the pond is Comets and Koi (ok, so I snuck in a couple crawdads), I'm just facinated by the little guys. My daily "mantra" when I arrive at home is to change, pour a stiff one, and go hang out at the pond and gawk at the critters. It's amazing watching the fish behave (like you assume they do out on the water)...facinating.

Hey, make sure you post us a report on that rod after you've stuck a few fish...let us know how you like the rod in action !

I got a buddy, he lives in sacramento (not you steve), and ever time I call him he answers on his portable phone cuz he's in the garage fiddlin with his boat !!! I do the same thing...if ya can't find me pond-side, look in the garage.

I've finally (I think) learned NOT to pull my bins of plastics and tackle into the house and sit in front of the TV set the night before prefish and pick and choose what to bring......safer to do that in the garage.....every time I do that my wife insists that I have more than enough fishing gear .... My Response back ???....."Or Not !"

My wife cracks up watching me pratice casting in the pool. Last night she came out and asked me a question, I turned to answer her, when I got a pick up. I landed a 5 pound pool sweep. I have to change a hose now since it has a hole in it.

I can personally attest....

I don't own a boat (yet), I have to spend my time fiddling with
my tackle boxes and rods/reels. Plus since I got TIVO about four
months ago, I can't wait to get home from work and watch the four or five fishing shows that I've recorded each day. Now when the wife asks me what is on TV, I answer: FLW tour stop, BASS Elite 50, Angler on tour with Joe Thomas, Bass Champs from texas, Loudmouth Bass, BPS, Bass Center, Rolan Martin, and Bill Dance on his private pond...all in high def. Maybe if I spent less $$$ on cable, I'd be able to afford that Ranger, Champion, or whatever...

The Frog Rod Bass Bones is speaking of is a Bass Medics Rod. Made by the Rejuevenade guys. Its got Snag Proofs endorsement on it. It is in stock at Oroville Outdoors 530 533 4990 - they also have some great dropshot rods.
