Broken Screen on HDS 9 Touch Gen 2.. can I easily upgrade to Gen 3?..

Son was flipping and hooked one that spit him near the boat which bullseyed my screen. Lowrance won't repair it even on my dime they just said sorry. Unit is less the 2 years old.. bummer. Son has a buddy who will sell him a gen 3. Can I change them out without messing with transducers?

By any chance you still have the HDS 9 gen 2? My board got fried and wondering you would sell your broken one.
