I am looking to make some changes upgrades etc. with my Hummingbird fish finders & trolling motor. I'm interested in your thoughts success & failures to accomplish, so please bare with me... I am looking to add a Hummingbird 859ci HD combo to the bow (this leads to another question to follow). I currently have a Hummingbird 1198 at the driver side with GPS & Navionics Hot maps.
Question #1: If I network these two will I be required to purchase another Navionics chip or will I see the same mapping on the 859 at the bow?
#2: Is the HB AS interlink all I will need to accomplish this?
#3: I’m also replacing my trolling motor with a Minn Kotta Fortex US2. I understand this TM has a transducer installed. Will this transducer work with the 859 down imaging or will I be required to install a puck style transducer to the TM for the Di?

Thank you in advance for your comments, I appreciate any advice I can get.

1) Mapping is not shared on those models.

2) I would get the Ethernet Cable and need one AS EC QDE to Ethernet on the 859ci HD DI...it wil ldirect connect on the 1198c

3) Universal Sonar is only for 2D sonar. If you want Down Imaging will need to mount a transducer on the trolling motor
