Wireless internet

Post by Whoopbass »

I'll try this forum but it looks like it doesn't get much traffic.

I just bought a netbook and was wondering if their is wireless internet service that works at home and also on the road.
If so what are you paying and with who?

Ideally I would like to use my desktop at home and then when I hit the road grab the netbook and be able to access the net with that.

Is this possible?
Is there a better alternative or service you guys are using?
Thanks

If you are in an Edge Wireless or 3g area, yes. AT&T has a little wireless thing you can stick in your computer's USB slot and get anywhere wireless. Same as a data network on a cell phone.

Thanks Greg :D
I was on AT&T's website earlier and couldn't find anything. In my opinion their website is terrible. It has a ton of info but finding it is the problem.

It looks like my area is a 3G area so I will call them and get the specifics since I couldn't find much info about it on their site.

You may want to look at Verizon Wireless MiFi 2200. It is a WiFi Wireless access point that you can connect up to 5 devices at time.

Maybe it was Verizon. I know I saw an ad from one of the larger providers
