World Boat Outlet Joins BASS WEST USA Open

Post by Bill Hutcheson »

Brentwood, CA – While several weeks away, the excitement continues to build for the US Anglers Choice BASS WEST Open to be held on Clear Lake on August 27th through 29th out of the Konocti Vista Casino.

World Boat Outlet has joined in on the festivities by offering Pro anglers an early sign up incentive for the tournament. Pro anglers who get their entry fee deposit or entry fee in full into U.S. Angler’s Choice prior to August 1st will have their name placed into a drawing for a Power Pole 8 foot Sportsman model unit with a retail value of $1,200. This unit will be given away during the Thursday evening partner drawing so some lucky Pro angler is going to walk away with this prize before the competition even starts!

World Boat Outlet is not stopping there however. They will also be offering the popular “Beat the WBO Pro” prize at this event. Up for grabs will be a Lowrance HDS-5 base unit with dual frequency 83/200 transducer with a retail value of $800.

“The BASS WEST USA Open is going to be an event that Northern California will be able to call its own”, noted Kevin Johnson, owner of World Boat Outlet. “Anglers up north have been waiting for years for a big name annual event and I think this is exactly what the BASS WEST Open is going to become – and that’s why I want to get in on the ground floor”

World Boat Outlet is one of the nation’s top Power Pole dealerships. In addition to Power Pole installation and boat servicing, World Boat Outlet as the name implies is one of the larger used boat dealers and brokers in the United States.

The USAC BASS WEST USA Open is a three-day, shared weight draw event that will take place at a prime time for topwater and reaction fishing on Clear Lake - August 27th, 28th, & 29th, 2010. Official pre-fish for this tournament will commence on Wednesday August 25th and run up to 3PM on Thursday, August 26thth. The angler get together and tournament kick-off meeting will take place on Thursday evening, August 26th starting at 6:00 PM. Official competition will begin on Friday, August 27th with the first 6 hour fishing session occurring in the morning. On Saturday, August 28thth, the session will switch over to an afternoon/evening affair and return to a morning session on the final day of Sunday August 29th. The awards ceremony will be conducted shortly after the scales close on Sunday to give anglers ample time to return home on Sunday. The tournament venue for the BASS WEST Open will be the Konocti Vista Casino who will be offering special rates for our BASS WEST Open contestants. Contact them at (707) 262-1900 to get your reservations early.

One of the exciting aspects of the BASS WEST USA Openthe big fish pool. The top five biggest bass caught each day of the competition will each be worth a total of $1,000** with the biggest overall bass of the contest winning walking away from the tournament with an El Salto Lake trip courtesy of Cardon Resorts valued at $1,000. With Clear Lake being a haven for big bass, every cast will give you the opportunity to cash in on some of this big fish money. Best of all, this big fish pool is included in your entry fee and is not a separate option pool that you have to pay for.

“The payback for this tournament is based upon 100 anglers and with the popularity of the Clear Lake venue, I am sure that we will easily exceed this, meaning that the paybacks will be increasing above and beyond what we are posting”, stated Bill Cook, the BASS WEST USA Open Tournament Director.

Entry fee for the BASS WEST USA Open is $1,500 for pro anglers and $550 for Am fishermen. Pro and Am anglers signing up together are given a guaranteed status while all other anglers are placed on a waiting list on a first come, first serve basis for pairing. Entry for the event will absolutely close on Wednesday, August 25th, so it is highly recommended that all fishermen get their money in early. Deposits of $300 will hold your spot as a pro angler while $200 will hold your spot on the Am side. Additionally, amateur anglers who do not have a pro to sign up with get should get a deposit in immediately. As this press release hits, many anglers have already signed up, so don’t wait until the last minute only to find out you can’t get in. The all cash payback for the BASS WEST USA Open is as follows
