I was looking at some new F-250 and F-350s the other day while waiting for my truck. The more I looked, the more plastic I saw!! I don't like plastic in a heavy duty vehicle. Then feeling the sheet metal used on the body it felt like plastic too. The stuff was so thin, I bet if you punched it you'd punch right through. I went to hit a guy in a fight one time and he ducked leaving my fist to fly righ in to the side of the bed of a 1970's dodge pick up. I broke my hand in 3 places.
What do you think? Do you notice this? Does it bother you to pay upwards of $50,000.00 for a plastic truck? It makes me think seriously about restoring an old one.
Do you get the feeling most new trucks are all plastic?

I agree with you Dave. It does feel that way sometimes. With the feds reqiuring automakers to raise fuel economy, one way it to make vehicles lighter. Which in turn gives some automakers vehicles that tinny feeling.
AINOKEA..........life is good...but I'm mad as Hell
