    Water Temp: low 60's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: At 10am I caught a small bass on a silver and white spinner-bait with a clear grub trailer at the point by the bridge. About 1/2 hour later I landed a 4-5 pound female in the corner cove. (Coleman and Winfield Rd.) I could see her nesting under some timber and although she saw me I still decided to see if I could get her to bite. I flipped a drop shot rig at her with a 4" roboworm and just let it fall beside her. She came to investigate and then "wham", she nailed it. Set the hook and brought her in. Slow day overall, but it beats workin'!
    City: San Jose

Tips: Presentation and patience. Since the water is clearing up, take more time presenting the bait.

Report: It was a really great day today.I took my 12 footer out there early morning. I only caught two but they were big. I caught the male on a rootbeer senko( 8lbs/12oz ). I dropped him off all the way on the other side of the island so that he wouldn't go back to the bed. After waiting a few minutes watching for the female to move in the nest, she came and boy she was a tank. i threw my 12" castaic trout out there and swam it right in front of her. She chased it then my trout was no where to be seen. She weighed in at 11lbs/4oz. Yup it was a good day.
    City: San Jose

Tips: caught both of them on a island point connected to the sand bar. Hey Vince, I probably caught your fish!

Report: Worked the east side of the lake with two other buddies. Nightcrawlers were the bait for the day. Amit had several bass, biggest was 5lbs (photo posted). He also landed a 10lb carp! Nathan, on the other hand, had a couple of keeper bass and he landed a 15lb carp! Was a great day out there and the bite picked up as the sun went down.

    Water Temp: low 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Saw about 50 decent sized bass within 6' of water. Saw four or five 5-7 pounders. This is the first time all year that I've seen any. Looks like the warm weather has finally brought them into the shallower water. I fished under the bridge today, but only managed to land a 1.5 pounder on a hologram shad roboworm on a drop shot rig about 15 inches above the weight. I threw the entire tackle box at 'em, but the only thing they seemed remotely interested in were plastic worms and small PopR's. They were chasing the PopR's, but not taking them. Good luck!
    City: San Jose

Tips: When it gets warm, fish the bridge. It holds a lot of fish. Also since they are coming in to nest they are right near the shore, so when you approach the water, make sure you sneak up on them or they will see you and get spooked.

    Report: Anthony,
a small population of steelhead and salmon do come up that creek to spawn up a ways, lthough not every year. That is the reason that there are fish ladders behind the water district bldg. I believe there is a 0 limit so release them unharmed
Thanks for the report on the lake.

Report: Went out and my friend caught a nice 4lber. off of a crawdad colored crank bait right away. Tryed all types of lures, senko, rattle trap, crank bait, drop shot. Finaly I put on a spinner bait and right before we were about to leave I caught a 7 pound.......Steelhead. About 10 years ago I was fishing for bass in the creek behind the water district with a countdown minnow and I caught a 6 and 1/2 pound salmon. I have no clue what these fish are doing there but it was pretty fun.
