Killing 'em at Barrett (East San Diego County, catch and release only). Only got 22 on top this past Wed., in a half day, but was sunny for once, got 38 the week before when overcast, as I did the week prior. All topwater, averaging 3 lbs each, a few 4's and 5's and a couple of Sixers and sevens. Spooks, frogs, and boot tail flukes. Fun times. Would show you some, but nowhere to upload photos on this post. :?

Lost my last 6" wooden Lunker Punker, anybody got one they'd like to sell pm me, it was my last one.

    Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The overall report about the lake level posted above is years old and inaccurate. Last year the lake went way up due to heavy rains in San Diego, as well as most other lakes down here, and recent rains might help keep it at the 75% it's been hoover at.

Detailed info and updates on lake levels on my site, link on left side.

Tips: Slow presentation with plastics o any kind and keep a close look and eel on your line because the bite can be very light.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: 1st time loat tubin here. Great way to stay on the ish. Got 130+...most by workin 4" drop shot worms and senkos (lighter colors, greens) slowly in 10-12' o water, just outside the weed edges. Also some pig/jig ish. Most were post-spawners, not that active, but bunched up so i you located one you got 6 to 10 more in the exact same spot. We seemed to do better than boaters because the ish were not active and boaters drited past too ast. Awesome day, as always.

Tips: Slow, deliberate presentaion in the post spawn..get the bait in their ace, shake it and eel or a "pressure" bite.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Opening day '03 was one or the record books. Me: 115 ish, 2 to 6lbs, most on pig/jig (all day) with morn and eve buzzers/sammy's, drop shot 4'when it got "slow"...to keep my jig rod rom overheating threw DDcranks...all got bit...INSANE! My THUMBS!!! My Girlriend "only" got 55 because throwing jigs makes her wrist hurt with the hookset. Everyone on the lake got 'em...I ish this lake a ew times each year but this was a once in a lietime day! Miraculous. Worth the 1 1/2 hour o re-dialing to ticketmaster it took to get the tix!

    Water Temp: 66

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Decided to enter a report here...it's been blank or too longHad a tough day or Barrett standards, I got 14 LMB to 6.5lbs (on scales)...almost all on very s-l-o-w-l-y crawling (I mean 6-7minute casts!) blue/black pig/jigs, 7" lorida rigged dark worms, or drop-shot 4" dark worms, over rock piles in 8-12' water. I you went aster you just wouldn't get bit. Just absolutely no reaction bite except or one blow up on a buzzbait early..kept on trying (but blanked on) rico's and sammy's, deep cranks (DD-22+ chart-blue), blades, sot and hard jerks...these usually go over well here...it was smack in the middle o post-spawn.My buddy got 13 on the same except he got one on the early buzzer.A bad day here is still a very good day...most o the ish were 3-4lbs, a ew 5's and my 6.5
    City: Beverly Hills

Tips: Post-spawn means slow ish'n! The water is a very odd greenish-brown...two guides deep and you can't see your rod...could bee a actor.
