Fish are still lazy an for best result use a spin cast rod (med. to light weight), light line (8-10pds) for best feel. Had no luck catching anything after 12pm. The sun was out but no action. Report: We launched at the free lramp at the south end of lake. We headed toward the big island to fish some submerged trees where I site fished the previous week to produced a limit plus cull, of one to three pounders. Fishing was good. We found fish in the t ree tops even though the water was not as clear as previous due to unusual moss on the surface. My partner caught two bass one over three on a black 4in worm before I could even get the trolling moter down. That bite ended and we tried similar paterns f r the next two hours to produce only two more bass. We decided to head to the north end and fish Pope creek. Lost the biggest bass of my life on a chartruse spinnerbait. How big? Plus ten. Hung a couple more bass in the one pound range. Moved to Pu ah creek and contiued fishing using spinerbaits, crankbaits in crawdad paterns, and spinerbaits four more to two pounds. Found some submerged trees in a tributary off Putah creek, went to micro jigs in white and caug! Caught eight slab crappie to two pou ds. Twelve bass to three and a half pounds and eight huge crappie. Not a bad day. keeps you motivated on those off days.

Report: I launched out of Markley Cove and fished a few coves before the Narrows. Hooked about 15 the entire day, and landed 11. Lost 1 nice 4lber right off in the morning. Water was very clear, sky was clear, and the temp was hot. I saw more fish than I coul d count, but only a few would bite. The only bait I had success on was a 4inch unweighted orangegreen magic worm fished in any shade or shallow, brushy banks (especially sunken trees).

If you go to lake Berryessa look for me in one of the coves tips: You 'll find me there in the summer months so I can work up a sweat and work wonders. I'm sure the worm size will grow from 4in to 5in. Color to use is black with a brown ring around it.

Report: Fished from 7am - 3pm on this beautiful spring day. Caught 7 bass 1- 2&1/2#. 6 of the 7 were caught shallow 4-6ft, which really surprised me. Yellow jig w/ yellow bow-haug frog trailer(execellent bait in stained water) took 5 largemouths. Most came from w ood. Water warmed to 66 in afternoon, caught 2 on fat raps...again shallow. Nothing on plastics. Had three good hits on the same main lake point about 2:30 on a Big lime green Shad Rap,no hook ups though. This warm weather should really get them moving...C n't carry those eggs much longer! tips: Jigs & Plastics in surmerged brush early, crankbaits after water starts to warm up.
