Report: The upper Blue Lake got stocked this week (1000 trout). I am sure glad . The last fish plant was in April. Also, the rumor is that there is going to be 2 - 3 more during the fall months. I hope so. RIGHT NOW some nice planter trout are being caught . Anglers fishing from the shore or docks are doing well with orange/pink powerbait and salmon eggs and others are using night crawlers. Trollers are doing well with a ford fender or action disc @ 20 -25 feet deep trailing it with a pink plastic worm, night crawler or fly.
    City: UKIAH

Tips: Don;t forget there are some nice bass in this lake too. Try drop-shottin' . The bass like to hang out in the Narrows area.

Report: Escaped to the upper Blue Lakes.Got away from all the noise and crazy folks out on the waterways right now. Fished the evening. 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The narrows area was holding bass. Most were in 20 - 25 ft. of water. My wife Teresa, schooled me on the dropshot. Boy did she have a "HUM-DINGER" on. Real nice bass, it really peeled the line off! Too bad she lost it.... Also, several trout came to the surface feeding right @ dark-ish. They were jumping everywhere ! We will be ready for them next out.
GREAT relaxing time on the lake with my wife. Thanks Don --------> www.4reelfishin.com

    Water Temp: surface mid 60'

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went fishing with a group of friends. Some were trolling for trout and some of us had our float tubes and were trying to find the bass.
tried a little of everything sinko's, swimbaits, jigs, spinners, dropshotting. the latter seemed to work the best.
between us all we caught a few not what we had hoped for I had a 6+ pounder shake the hook right next to the boat but that was the largest thing that I saw all weekend.
I have a hard time with this lake knowing when the best time for bass is and what to use, seems like this lake is so deep and cold that it is on a different scheudle than most of the other lakes. If anyone has suggestions for when they are spawning and when the bass in this lake are really off the hook I would appreciate the tip.
