Report: Sarted o down south hiting my conidence spots with topwater. Very ew takers and those were rats. Bounced around a bit and ended up in the middle delta area. Bite was late morn or us, once the tide started to all. My irst was a 3+ on a super spook, my only spook bite that day. Shortly ater my girlriend stuck what should have been our big ish o the day. A 5-6 lb class ish on a buzzbait but armed it. Ouch! I inally switched over a stuck a 4 on a buzzbait. Tried some roggin but the mats and weeds in my avorite spots are all gone,, the've been spraying a lot recently. Between noon and 2 we lipped a deep tule wall. Lots o bites. Mostly little guys, picked up another 4+ and a ew 2's. Best ive around 15lbs, the big one would have put us around 18-19lbs.... would-a,should-a,could-a...Next time!

Report: On the water at irst light again, should have slept an extra hour as the bite started o slow. Began to pick up a ew 1-2lb ish on buzzers. Just as I pointed out the spot my 6.1 on wed came rom to my girlriend, another Kawooosh!! Horsed this one straight to the boat (that's the beauty o ishing topwater on an 8' lip stick w/50lb braid). Weighed in at 6.14, on a white buzzer. Piked up another 3something and the rest rats. About 15 boated today, best ive close to 15lbs. o the water by 11. I've been spoiled ishing weekdays and almost orgot how many skiers are out there.

    Water Temp: 70-75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished down south tues & weds morn rom 5:30 till 9:30 (I love this new swing shit gig). Topwater bite started o a bit slow which I attributed to the recent drop in water temp. Almost an hour beore our irst bite but it was worth it, a double hook-up. A iesty 6.6 or me on the super spook and a solid 3 or my partner on a buzzer. As the morn temps warmed so did the buzzbait bite. We inished with close to 25 boated and just over 16lbs or our best ive. Wed morn, same partner in back, hit the same spots only colder temps and breezy. Again, the bite was slow or about an hour with a ew 1's and 2's on buzzers then kawooosh!!! My rod doubled and then went completely slack. I panicked or second thinking I lost her and rantically tried to reel up the slack. She was still there and on her way to deep water. It's amazing how ast these big girls can move. I called or the net and watched my partned swat not once, not twice, but three times beore I couldn't take it and grabbed her. I think he was actually trying to knock her o and we all know how much bigger these ish look with their gills laring when airborn. 6.1lbs in desparate need o anger management. Although we both agreed that had he knocked her o with his sloppy net job she would have been an easy 8. At least the scale keeps us honest. As the morn temps pickep up, so did the bite. Boated 12-15 with three more over 3lbs and the rest 1's and 2's. Best ive in the high 16's.
    City: TRACY

Tips: Topwater! Topwater! Topwater! Look or grass near deeper water, most o our ish were out away rom the bank. Work slow and deliberate when it's calm and very aggressively when its blowing.

    Water Temp: 80+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Thought the exceptionally high tide would produce good topwater action over weed beds. NOT! Caught a lot o dinks...I mean DINKS...barely able to get the whole hook in their mouths. Finally, caught a 5# 1oz rog ish about 8:00, switching to Senkos and crankbaits or the rest o the morning. The crankbait bite was pretty strong on numbers but a lot o small ish. Only managed 4 keepers in the 1-2# range out o about 20 ish. Senko bite was slow but did produce a 3+ at 11:00. Best 5 went 13.5#. The entire morning had moderate cloud cover (which is why I stayed with poppers and buzzbaits waaay too long) and changing winds. Most ish were in current but the big rog ish was deep in a shade pocket. Got o the water at noon. No ski boats. No jet skis. One cruiser. I think I'll ish mid week more oten!
    City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Smaller ish seem to be schooling. When I ound one ish in current, there were several more in the vicinity. Bigger ish have been isolated recently and mostly relating to shade.

At low tide and during th irst part o the rising tide, we caught rog ish with the best 2 going 2 1/2 and around 4 pounds. Overall, the bite was red hot or numbers but no big ish.Had cloud cover all morning but couldn't buy a rog bite until the clouds burned o and the sun was directly over head.

Report: Fished the Pro-teen on Sunday with a great young man named Joey. We caught a decent number o ish (12) with 4 solid 2-3 pound ish. About hal our ish came on rogs beore 10am with the rest coming on Senkos and one spinnerbait ish. The rog ish were tentative. I missed two good rog ish early that could have won the tourny or us. One o them was big...it clamped down on the rog and literally ripped the legs outta the bait! Fished several colors o rogs but all the ish came on white rogs.Senko ish came next to isolated oshore weed patches with deep water nearby.
    City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Shade, shade, shade! All but one rog ish came either in shade or immediately at the edge o shade.
