Now it noon and have 9lbs or 5 so I picthed the Frog Mossback or ther rest on the day and got a 4 and ended up with 11lbs.Thursday I needed over 20lbs so I started with the Frog around Franks and had 4 good ish on and lost every one by 6:30am. By this time I think someone put a hoax on me. Back to Whites and Dissapointment and I watched several 10's swimunder my Frog but not bite and I did manage to loose 2 good ones up there on the Slimy slug. For the day I had over 20 ish on the Frog but only had about 9lbs total. That's my Story
    City: Concord

Tips: The ish I targeted were very shallow about 1t o water in pockets and procted areas, anywhere in the delta as long as the water color is good.

Report: Went with a number o tubing and kickboat buddies to the Southern Delta and the topwater bite was on! Hit both the outgoing and incoming tides and only during the slack tide did ishing slow a little. I ended up with 17 ish, 1 on senko 16 on BUZZBAITS! No real size as the biggest was only 3lbs but un day on the water. A Bass-n-Tubes buddy had the Spook bite going and ended up catching between 35-40 ish. His ish were bigger as he landed a number in the 3-4 lb class and had a ew more on (one that put a nice show on or a couple o us!) that were about 5 lbs. He did get a couple dinks on senkos and another buddy caught about 10 on spinnerbaits. Others in our group caught ish on a mixture o baits with the largest going 7 lbs on a buzz (too bad it wasn't me!). Anyway, great day on the water! Can't beat a topwater bite!

Lots o small ones and an ocassional goood one 3 or 4lbs. Most o the better ish in these ares have been on a chartreuse Helix "like a senko" draggin it thorugh the weeds. Yesterday we had over 20 blow ups on the rog but most o them wern't taking it very good and we missed hookin up. We got 2 decent ish and lost 2 big ones on a chart gold Persuader spinnerbait.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Monday the 28th and Sunday, May 4th.28th - Caught over 50 ish during the day, ranging rom 1.5lbs to 7lbs. Fished rock walls with deined weedlines and sparse tulles. I threw 3/8 ounce wacko jigs in black/blue or black/red almost the entire day. I ished only the banks where wind was directly blowing into them, which were rather easy to ind this day. Caught the 7lb tagged ish on a spinnerbait irst thing in the AM. Most jig bites were pressure bites and not extremely aggressive. My backseat partner caught another 10+ ish on the trusty Senko. A great daySunday - Fished the 100% Futurepro out o Ladd's. Partner and I won the class portion o the event with 20.35 lbs. Caught three ish rom 4.6 - 5.8 that secured our inish. I caught my ish on jigs. Partner hooked his on Senko and Brush Hogs. All in all we caught over 25 ish and ished only two areas all day long. Both produced consistent ish or us.
    City: Discovery Bay

Tips: Jigs...and more jigs. Fish rock with deined weedline and you will ind ish. Pop the jig aggressively when you reach the weeds and let it all...The bigger ish were all in weeds or closeby. Fished throughout the middle Delta. Work the bait back to the 12 oot area. Nearly all my jig ish were caught in the 6-10 oot range. Good luck and stay sae...PS. Thanks to Gary at Angler's Cove who inally convinced me to use jigs consistently...He's a real sportsmen and will show you what to use and when.

Report: Went out with the guide Randy Pringle. First time ishing with a guide. Known Randy many years but have very seldom ished with him.We launched at BxW at irst light. It was cold out and many guys where complaining o no ish. Well lets see, my sixth cast landed an 8lbs Large Mouth. Beore the day was out we had many ish 2-5 lbs. Most being in the 3-5lbs range. Most important was how much I learned about ishing the Delta. I have ished it or many years but I learned more rom Randy in one day then the last ten years ishing it. All this on a windy cold day with weather changing every ew minutes. I have already booked another trip with Randy or 19 March. One other thing that really impressed me, was I recently had my leg rebuilt rom injuries I got in Aghanistan and have a hell o a time getting around. Randy made it as easy as possible. I have ished with other Pro's, some o which have huge names. Randy could teach the ones I ished with beore a great deal.

    City: Fremont

Tips: Don't worry about the weather, Fish are hungry.. Throw everything you have conidence in. They'll eat it. We ished Senko's and Jigs most o the day. Don't be araid to throw a rog on mats, you'll be surprised.....

Report: Fished the last bit o outgoing into the begining o incoming, about 10:30 till 3:30. We couldn't get much going down south, although we marked water temps into the low 70's in some o the looded islands and slack water areas. Headed to central delta and concentrated on low low areas and pitched 7" senkos and a big tube bait to shallow weed pockets. We only boated ive (missed two) but they were all decent ish, averaged about 3 1/4lbs.
    City: TRACY

Tips: All our ish were in 2 eet o water or less. On a side note, The B.A.S.S. guys are all over the delta right now preishing. Kind o un to ish along side some o the big boys I've seen on T.V.

    Water Temp: Warming up

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 7-12 sat and sun. Found ish all throughout taylor, piper, and little ranks. Most ish came on black home-made jigs and homemade pumpkin trailers. Also got ish on stick-Os tight to the bank, and cranking weedlines between little ranks and the deeper surrounding channel. 15 ish or two days with 2 ish over 4 pounds, both on the jig, both spawned out and very skinny and worn out. Both the bigger ish came in deeper water (6-10 t.) It's unny I take my dad out or a rare bass trip on Saturday, and he gets a 4 pounder rom the back o the boat, his biggest largemouth to date. Then on Sunday, I take my partner/brother out, and he gets his biggest to date @ 4.3 pounds rom the back o the boat. My biggest or the weekend was a 2lb crank ish. Go igure! Oh well, we got a lot o spring let! Good luck guys.

    Water Temp: 66-72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the last 3 hours o daylight down souh during low tide. Had perect conditions or a good spinner bait bite, stained water, cloud cover, steady breeze and an incoming storm. Only one problem, not a single bite on blades. I'm stubborn so I kept trying to orce a bite that just wasn't happening. My girlriend however, quickly reverted to her trusty watermelon/red senko and stuck a 6.9. Then a 3 and so on. I inally switched to a 7" senko and managed a ew 1.5's. Hmmmmm, big bait small bass, small bait bigger bass. oh well, always un
    City: TRACY

Tips: All our ish were very shallow, and tight to cover. Found several on the beds, but with the wind we were literally on top o them beore we noticed em'.
