Report: Went out o the Break rom 11-3, mostly just trying to ind some early run Stripes. Only one little guy so we lost interest. Switched to crankin' Dutch and pulled in a couple 1's, red craw pattern. Buzzed a ew about 2lbs each, shallow weeds in the back o the Break. Pitched zippers in Ironhouse or a ew more little ones. Found a ew small patches o matted weeds and decided to toss the rog. Blk/blu, not my Delta choice but was still tied on rom Clear lake. Ater a ew casts I turned around to see what my dog was doing. That's when I heard that unmistakable slurp/kiss. Beore I turned back I elt my rod jerk and I jerked out o relex. Up on top and skied her back to the boat. A healthy looking 5.5 rom less than 2 eet o water had completely inhaled my rog.

Report: Fished Saturday and Monday. Took two oreign exchange students rom Japan who had never ished. I ended up tying on a lot o hooks and watching ish swim around the boat undetected. I managed to hit a 7.5 on crank and 20+ other ish. Best 5 went 14lbs. Used Cranks, Spinnerbait, and Senkos. Today was awesome...No boat traic and I ished the AM with Buzzbait/Yellow/White and caught 6-keepers in the irst hour...Switched to white spinnerbait and caught two keepers and two dinks...Fished crank at High on a weedless wall with current and caught three ish one over three. Headed to rog water around 8:30 AM and caught 3 o the 6 ish that ound their way to my rog...Good weight at 13+lbs on the three...I hope this happens on Saturday...Decided to close out the day throwing jigs and senkos...Caught a 5+ and two good 2.5-3lb...Only got three bites the last ew hours...
    City: Discovery Bay

Tips: Finding my best luck cranking and on topwater. Fishing the main river either Old or Middle is very productive or me this time o year primarily because there is always some current. My preerence is white baits and this pattern remains. I ished the middle and south delta on these two days. Stay sae and enjoy the water. TG.

Report: Launched out o Holland at 6am. We worked submerged weedbeds till 8. I had ive to 2 1/2 on a baby bass super spook and my girlriend had our to 3 1/2 on a white buzzbait. We started working our rog mats early considering the blazing temps over the last ew days. I threw black/red and she threw white. Seemed we got an equal amount o blow ups. Wasn't as much action as we've had on previous trips, but most o the ones that did hit ended up in the boat. Had our best ive (16lbs) beore 11am, including a 3.15, 3.12 and 3.9. Not bad averages or the summer. Went hunting around or new territoy the last ew hours, baoted some more but none over 2. Overall, had 18 in the boat, o the water by 1:30.

Nothing big though, a couple close to 3, but mostly dinks - 1 1/2lb range. Switched to roggin. Tried a ew promissing mats, noticed a lot o movement underneath and had a ew slaps so I know ish were there, but very ew takers. Last mat was in the north end o a bay and I quickly nailed 3 about 2 each (literally yanked em out o the water on the hookset, I love this new Lamiglass 797 with powerpro). My girlriend stung two but couldn't boat em'. Ran down south just beore dark to ish widows with buzzers. Boated another 10 or so, biggest just about 3lbs. The little guy broke one o that was probably a 4 and change.

    Water Temp: 73-78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched @ Holland with last two hours o incoming tide and lots o wind. Hit Franks and Little Franks without much success. Got one about 2 1/4 on the buzzer and missed a ew. About 9:30 we decided to ish rock with weeds and current (just to eel a pull on the line and not concentrate on size). Good choice, we caught some quick ish on traps and I took two 3's on a spinnerbait. With our regained conidence (and a good outgoing tide), we went to our trusty rog mats only to ind they were almost all gone, except or a ew small patches. My girlriend stuck one quick, almost a 4 and I picked up a 2. Ater an hour my girlriend stuck another good one but it got burried in the mat and came loose. Finished the day with spinner baits, traps and buzzer at a ew draining islands and caught a ew more little guys. All in all, boated about 19, mostly little ones, best ive around 14lbs.
    City: TRACY

Tips: Outgoing tide to the bottom on the low has been best or us lately.
