    Water Temp: not sure

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I have been fishing lake Casitas the last the week and have had some luck on the shore lines. I been getting hit on topwater in the morning and getting some senko fish in the later part of the morning.I have seen a boat or two, so not much else going on. They moved a couple of boat docks. Biggest bass was a 6 pounder and got 4.5 pounder on Friday both on the IMA Skimmer.
    City: Camarillo

Tips: It has been slow so fish slower.

Report: Lake is still brutal, I talked to an employee that said they did not bluestone it but rather used peroxide. I had never heard of that before but he said that it was cheaper than bluestoneing. I guess they thought they needed they're new $60.000 patrol boat that never leaves the dock with the other 2 patrol boats and forgot they might need to bluestone. Sorry if it seems like a negative post but the fishing has been terrible and I call em like I see em.

Report: First out last in. Brutal. Reaction bite was gone in the morning and I tarried to long trying to force that issue for ZERO bites. Shoulda gone with a jig on drop offs and edges. Caught a few decent 3 pound dropshot fish on a flik shake in 15 feet around wood. Switched to a Norman deep little n and finished out the day with some nice 3 pound crank fish.
    City: Ojai

Tips: The lake has been blue stoned twice in the past few weeks and the fishing is as usual when this takes place. The fish get grumpy when they bluestone and the lake will come around a little better with each passing day. The grebes are chasing the shad schools around so be alert as they sometimes push them from way offshore onto a point in just a few minutes and it can trigger action.

Report: Since I knew the topwater bite had died I went out with an all plastics attitude. I got my clients on fish right off but they were having trouble translating bites into fish... ...I went down along inside Chismahoo and They weren't getting any fish there either so I picked up a senko and caught one first cast....Hmmm. I slowed it way down and they started to catch fish. The son Caught two limits with the most beautiful 4 pounder I have seen in a while. Good color very healthy. He caught another that was close to 6 pounds so he was stoked as that was his personal best. I brought Dad up to the front who was struggling and he started missing them left and right so I got him slowed down and he ended up with four fish...However:

10 minutes before the end of the trip I'm float'n the boat in 35 while the wind is push'n us along and I keep look'n at this shadow and the closer we get the more it's start'n to look like a fish :? ....I couldn't figure out what I was seeing so I picked up a senko rod off the deck and cast 10 inches infront of it....I see the shadow nose down and it's ....GONE. I just put the reel in gear and handed the rod to Dad. I remember him saying...Was that a bass? Just as the drag starts SCREAM'N. Oh yeah dad that's a bass. Just under 8 pounds... :D . I achieved all my goals for the day. They even had a double hook up. So we took his fish in and had it weighed in the marina where I released it.....So that was fun. I should have taken up guiding years ago it sure is fun when things are working out. The big fish was like all others this year....Shoulda gone over 12 pounds easy but was hurt'n...It was pale and emaciated with a BIG head and pale coloration and starved body. Prolly won't even be able to catch those next year after they all die off... :(

Report: havent been up here in over a month. Water seemed to drop and the weeds have come in force. Spent most of the day fishing around the weeds for a steady pick on the 1-3 lbers. Pretty much caught most on a senko or a sweet beaver. I ended the day with 6 fish and my buddy ended with 8.

    Water Temp: mid 70's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Thanks to Ranger Rob for getting us on the water. $ 30.00 bucks check your vests / lights / fire extinguisher you get your ribbon for your anchor light and full plane until 8:30. They started at 3:00 and I got there at 5:00. I had immediate results on swimbaits and stuck with them until 7 ish. I had 4 3-4 pounders and pulled out a senko and stuck a four on the first cast...Hmm... woot.. I wasn't really ready for the evening thing so I tied up a dropshot/carolina rig/bubba dropshot/and big a$$ black and blue senko and went back to fishing I stayed with the swimbait but no go and I cranked for a solid hour and it got dark so I went fishing with my plastics fork...Not a tap in an hour and a half...So screw this I put down the hammer and started tossing buzzbaits. I was to lazy to find a black one so I just fished the white dbl. buzz I had tied on. I kept to the shadows throwing into spots that were frankly to dark to see.. unsure. Sometimes you'd get hung up immediately in grass but surprisingly enough I got along just fine huck'n and winding for about a mile. I made a cast and heard the bait bounce on the bank so not knowing what I'd cast into I just reeled down until I felt tension and popped it off the bank. Two cranks of the handle and BOOM. Missed her. But I said out-loud to nobody....Well that was fun! Rock2...So I kept doing the same routine of getting around corners and getting the light behind me and running the bank. You had to run the bait s l o w , s l o w, s l o w w e r. Boom! missed another.. Hilarius...Okay regroup and retie and keep go'n at 10:45 I stuck an 8 in an epic battle one point over from another boat. I put her in the livewell and got out my camera...Nope she's not going to work so I had drifted by these nice guys so we got to talking and they had just caught one on a black worm. I pulled out the fish since I couldn't take her picture and they thought she was a beauty. I went 20 feet past them and they caught a 4 pounder on the black worm....Hmmm? Na I kept going. A half mile farther down the bank i got sucked down like a little bluegill had it.... CENSORED...Those are always the BIG ones but in the ensuing hook set I failed to get enough in her when she went ape$hit and gone. Darn.. HammerHead..Back at it with 30 minutes to go I got cutoff by another boat so I dbl reversed the person unsure and they ended up beating me to where I had no intention of fishing while I continued down the bank by leapfrogging the cove. Wham! 6 pounder and time to go in. Felt sorry for the two guys whose truck didn't have the cajones to get them up the ramp...they might still be there CENSORED. Sure wish folks understood about headlights but we all got out and there were no fatalities so maybe I'll get out there again.

Report: Water temps from low 70's to 80 even. Viz...Clear on the walls dingy everywhere else. Water elevation has dropped some which has started to kill off some of the weeds. I had over 20 fish on buzzbaits, three swimbait fish, one dropshot fish...Just to see if they were where I left them. 6 senko fish...one 7lb. 10 oz. one at 5lb 4 ozs. and one at 6 pounds 13 ozs. I had a great trip and just fished what I wanted where I wanted when I wanted...Lake was deserted because there was an evening tourney....Dave Poolman won it with 31 pounds and a nine pounder...
