Report: You might also try Konocti. The docks and the surrounding shores are usually good for some fish. Have not been there in a while but it is something to think about. Plus there are many other things there if the fishing is slow. Isn't it great to share fishing with your kids!

Report: State Park is actually not the greatest for bank fishing. Depending on the water level, you may or may not be able to access decent shore fishing spots around the swimming area. You can fish near the boat launch, but that water is kind of shallow, and there are minimanl bass holding there right now. You can also try the county park area which is off of Park Drive I believe, which is a mile or two before the State Park entrance. There is a point that parrallels the launch ramp which can be somewhat productive right now. I've heard there are some good bank spots in the southern end, but have never personally fished there. Good luck!

Report: Not a report but can someone recommend a place in clear lake for Bass fishing from shore. This will be my first time and I'm taking my son with me who loves bass fishing. I did some research and thinking about going to state park which seems to be the easiest place to get into for first timer like me. Thanks..

    Water Temp: 69-75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: My Brother Benny and I fished 6/15 thru 6/18, 6/15 fished from noon till 8:00 PM and my bro is the only one to land 2 fish to 3 lbs, 6/16 fished AM bite and I landed 8 to 3 lbs and bro 4 to 3lbs,
6/17 I landed 5 to 5lbs and bro 2 to 2 lbs, 6/18 I landed 1 to 2.5 lbs and bro 1 1.5 lb. Caught 2 bluegill about 3/4 lb on a drop shot, biggest bluegills I have ever caught, bring the kids and mill worms they are every where we fished.
    City: San Jose, Ca

Tips: South end very stained and full of bait fish, could not get a bite in the AM on the south end.
Fished the narrows and a litte south of it and the water was a little clearer and we were able to get some day light fish on drop shot Margareta Mutilator 4 inch right next to weeds or in the weeds 5-12 feet deep, look for wind to push bait into the weeds and there will be a few fish waiting for an easy meal. Caught my 5 lber on a red shad power worm with curly tail on a dart head at 8:00 P.M. on 6/18, it was the only fish I caught on the south end but it was the biggest. I think the night bite will be good on the south end but you better use 7-10 inch curley tail worms in dark colors. God Bless and good luck.

    Water Temp: 56-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Heres my FPT UPDATE. I went hog hunting, with no hogs to be found! The teams that produced in division 1 were fishing finesse style, not my line of attack! Clear Lake in the spring deserves aggressive fishing! My results were so poor that we didt even go to the weigh in. One fish under 2 pounds! Ouch! We through the dice and ended up broke! Congrates to the teams that did well and got a check. One of my friends fished in div. 2 and ended up with 16+ punds for 26th place, and just making the dollar cut for $100.00. That almost covered the entry fee. After speaking with him, he said they caught all of their fish ripping within a 35 minute time frame. It seems like feeding time on Saturday HAD A LIMITED WINDOW. Had fun, the weekend cost me a fortune, and cant wait for the next event!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water later than anticipated and found the lake extremely muddy and loaded with wood debris and birds everywhere. Water clarity is the worst that I have encountered could not even see one eye of the rod. Reaction bite, right? Yes reaction bite only...Not many fish to report about...Hope the water clears up soon. I seen about 6 other boats...Maybe they have more to share.

    Tips: Reaction baits only

Report: I'll be taking my dad out to Clear Lake to float tube and I was hoping someone could help me out as to where besides the Oaks it would be safe to do so. I remeber in the very south end of the lake the canals looked good but i dont now where the closest place to kick out from is, ive seen people fishing from the shore there, by the sunken bridge. I noticed on the map Lakeview Rd I was hoping someone could tell me if i could reach the lake Going down that road. THanks in advance!!!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Me and my family are planning a trip to Clear Lake 'round May or maybe some other time during the summer probably on the north end in Lakeport. I probably have around 3 days to fish, and it's been a while since I was last here. Just wondering what I should bring for beginners to feel the passion for bassin that I have.

Tips: I dunno much about finesse techniques and colors. Should I go with a guide?
