Report: went out on my tube hoping to get bit on the big baits, well no bites on any of the big swimmies, but had a fish on the 2.5 bbz shad that was taking out drag and then came unbottoned.

dont know whatit was but it wasnt fighting like a trout or bass, just a slow steady pulling of my drag going diagonal to the shore.

Report: With the previous hot weather, it made fishing strange. Fish have been pushed to shallow, I was able to catch 3 fish with frogs ON Winter. Tried the trout swimbait with one follower but it didn't take it. Think outside the box, try something new, you will be surprise!!!
    City: Concord

Tips: Go Shallow. Fish are ready to spawn so I caught them with frogs.

Report: Actually, it is not totally illegal. You can IF you use bait fish from the lake.

There are a TON of shad in that lake and every summer they gather around all of the docks to spawn and are fairly easy to catch with a minnow trap or butterfly net. You can not use cast nets but they aren't necessary any way.

They also gather around the bubblers in the summer ...

Report: Fished 2 hours before sunset...only one Bass but went 5.5 on a "VIXEN" topwater bait. Many fish at dark in "inches" of water chasing baitfish...so shallow their backs were exposed....totally crazy! Nothing would hit a frog. Had something hit a "Pointer 128" in trout pattern that spooled me. Couldn't slow the fish down...I think I'm finding Stripers lately. Friday night I will be tossing some big swimbaits on my Dobyns rods with 25 lb. flourocarbon and see what happens. Haven't landed a Striper at the lake in a year and a half. My biggest here is 27 lbs, but landed 6 over 14 lbs over the last 6 years.

Tips: Big baits at dusk....and hold on!

Report: got a bite 5 times from a bass that didnt want to take my frog it just kept poping it up. then went to the boat dock and threw red eye shad and caught 2 little ones and lost a bigger one it looked like it was a striper when i saw it.
    City: THA P

Tips: rip lippless crankbaits over the tops of submerged weeds. frog bits turned off alot since last week. stick to baits in a baitfish color.

Report: Couldn't scare up any fish on crankbaits or frogs, but slaughtered the bass on dropshot rigs in the last 1.5 hours of daylight. Lost count after about 12 bass. All pretty small with a few to 2 lbs. One BIG blow up on a "Lunker Punker" launched way off shore...might have been a striper...never hooked up. Anyway, back out again tmrrw unless Delta looks good in the morning.
    City: Antioch

Tips: Hey Kyle...did you end up moving? Gimme a shout if you want to hit the water.
