Report: Fished a club tournament on Saturday my partner and I caught about 17 fish with the big fish going 3.35lbs. Fishing was good for the whole club but the big bites were tough to come by. caught most fish on the dart-head and some random ones on dropshot, swimbait, and jig. The big fish came on the jig. Islands and main body points worked best for us. Purples and blacks seemed to do best. http://www.sacramentobasstrackers.com

Report: Fished Friday noon to 5PM and caught about 6 dinks and a 3 pounder. Saturday did much better from 6AM to 2PM. Caught a 3-1/2 first thing in about 9 feet of water in the back of a creek on a drop-shot, then a couple ripping. Caught a 4-1/2 on a drop shot and a few 2 to 2-1/2 ripping and drop-shotting. The bite stopped at about 11AM. We ended up with 15.36 pounds for 6 fish.

Tips: Drop-shot or split-shot in 5-10 feet of water on and around points. They aren't all spawned out yet!

Report: Went out on Saturday. Cold and windy. Fishing was slow until later in the day. Fished the island in middle bay 0 fish. Then went to Big Creek.
Found some 2 1/2- 3 lb Smallies. Nice looking fish. Could only get 2 off each spot. Fished the top of the submerged islands. One guy on the boat got a couple 4 lb LMB
    City: Ventura

Tips: Fish were biting on split shot 4 or 5 " roboworms. Hologram shad or prism shad (smallies likes the prism shad best). Fished at a medium retrieve, between 1/4 to 3/8 ounce weight with 2' of leader. Tried dropshot and some cranks but no takers.

Report: Devil Mountain Bassmaster's launched 10 boats from a house boat at Flemming Meadows. The morning was calm for a smooth run across the lake. Fishing proved to be tough from the blue bird skies after the storm the night before, I targeted points in the morning assuming the fish would be in transition for prespawn, mid morning I headed to the water fall to find water rushing into a cove, two pitches later I hooked up with a 2.5 Spot at 9:30 on a trout colored senko, which was the only bite I had. Catching was tough for most but the time on the water on a beautiful lake was great. 1st Place was 3 fish for 6.96 Lbs.
second place was 4.27 lbs.for 2 fish, third Place and big fish was 3.73. Lbs. The afternoon was a different story with winds in the 30 MPH range on the way back to the weigh in.

Tips: Hine sight is a virtue, I guess smaller baits and slower presentations would have produced better.
With the stable weather coming this week the bite should be better.

Report: A interesting day of fishing for sure, I fished the CBC today and it was a well ran event! I did not place well but did manage to figure out some fish with lil to no time at ths lake. Don Pedro has far more Smallmouth Bass than I had any idea! I knew there was a few in there, but there's more than that! Many fish released were smallies. And some spotted bass too! If your looking to fun fish try small tubes or a split shot and drag it slow! The bite is light so be ready! Pockets or creek guts with 10-30 feet of water and chunk rock are holding these smallies. Points that look like Large Mouth heaven are hoding Smallies and Spotties. If you are to try for Largemouth try the ugly banks with clay and a mud line shallow with a Shakey head or a senko. This weather will bring the largemouth up!

Report: Had a 2 day TOC and haven't been to the lake in 10yrs or so. Lake is down 55 feet. Water is clear, between 10-15 foot vis. before sun came up threw cranks in bluetruce and sexy shad and pick up a couple then switched to drop shot. We caught 25+ on saturday all small, but lost a couple of nice ones at the boat. wieghed in 2 for sat. at 3 1/2 lbs and in 4th place( that should tell you how everyone else did ). leaders had 6 lbs. Sunday was a different story, went to our spot to weed through the small ones and caught 4 keepers by 8am no dinks. couldn't get bit so we ran around to get the fifth. just caught 4 more dinks, with 45min left we tried a new spot and I started throwing a crank, BAM 2 lb spot and our fifth. went IKE in the boat and flew back to see how the rest of the pack did. At weigh in we were the only ones with a limit for both days and 7 1/2 lbs later the leading teams fell apart and my son and I won the thing for a grand total of 11 lbs for 2 days. WOW
    City: Bakersfield

Tips: We fished in 18-25 feet main lake points, look for fish on sonar and drop on top of them, shake the living crap and fill wight set the hook. Shad, Aarons majic in 2 1/2-4inchs. Cranks-sexy shad, bluetruce and sun craw all normans deep little n. Find the fish and stay on top of them weed through the small ones. Good luck.

Report: fished from 5:50 to 1:30 pm. in the badge packers tourny. shot up to woods creek and spent the first 5 hours there. lots of debris, no bites on top water. saw tons of carp. as we worked our way out got one on a jerk bait and one on spinner bait. picked a cove off the main lake and got two more using the above lures. nothing else all day. we used almost every lure possible and nothing was biting. talked to some others that went to the river mouth and hammered out a number of small fish. Last year we pulled 12 lbs out of woods creek. this year only about 3 lbs. disappointing trip.

Report: I am taking my son fishing this weekend and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just wanted to know how the bite is on the lake. I don't need to know which spots or lures that you are using, I just wanted to know if anyone has been up lately and if it was worth the trip. This lake is ussually close to going wide open this time of year, but with Pedro, sometimes you never know. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail if you would like. Thanks.

Report: Skunked for bass that day. Fished between 10 and 4. Tried fishin with jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, drop shot, shakyheads, swimbaits on points, rocky points, rocky slopes, found a creek arm with tons of sunken trees and nothing. Not a single bit, from bass. My friend got little nibbles on a white gambler meano that we found out was a trout so we tied on some kastmasters and put 5 in the boat at the end of the day. All in the back of that creek arm between some trees. Did not have a sonar by the way, rented boat.

Report: CBL- Christain Bass League had it first inagural bass tourney today. 12 teams fished, two with kids under 16. It looked like the fog would be gone by blast off, but thank God for a GPS. I was half way to Rogers when I wanted to go to Big Creek. The sun finally came out and it was a great day. Most of the field caught fish off the bank dragin a worm, drop shot, shakey head or the likes. My son caught the only keeper in our boat throwing a white rip bait. The Big fish was caught by Clayton, who is 14. The fish was 3.15#. Only one limit for 5+ #s. Our next tourney is on McClure. David 209-988-5818
