    Water Temp: 68.9 to 70.6

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The jig bite here is on for bass in the 2 to 3 pound class. We got on the lake today at 3pm and fished till 7:30 pm and we targeted all of are fish in 17 to 24 feet of water on 1/4 oz bullet head jigs and 3/8 oz football head jigs. It was breezy but it didnt hurt the fishing at all.Warmer weather ahead should bring out more anglers watch for snakes if your bank fishing.
    City: madera ca.

Tips: Dead sticking the jigs with very little movement triggered the bass into striking the baits. Im hitting it again next week with even warmer weather in store it should hold up well on this bite. We had some good numbers on bass for the short amount of time we fished.

Report: Went out about 2pm Sunday after getting pulled over at the left of the entrance...said we were going 5mph over the speed. 26yrs no ticket and he was yelling that this was gonna be one expensive fishing trip...long story short, he let us go. Threw everything in the boat from spinners to every kind and color plastic you could imagine. I never got a bite...frustrating. Hubby got 2 in the 2-3lb range and one trout after a stick bait, took the whole treble in its throat. Day couldnt have been any more beautiful but hot enough to put some blisters on this winter colored body. All his fish were taken in 10ft or less but they were stacked up in 20ft.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Wish i could tell ya. He got both bass on a white swim bait. Some good hits on creature baits.

Report: That granular algae is back. Spent Thu/Fri and 1/2 Sat at the lake and I give the bite a 3 out of 5. Two weeks ago, with water in the mid 50s at midday, we pounded them with jerk baits and stop & go cranks up close. This time, only a couple on that technique, but plastic was the ticket. We caught most fish in 10ft or less in the 2-3lb class (typical Eastman size) Shallower near deeper proved best for us. I mixed up the plastics and they basically hit all of them - some bites damn near took your rod out of your hands, others subtle line ticks. All in all, great trip. Not the numbers or size we were looking for, but still killer. City Limits usually by noon.
    City: Pacific Grove

Tips: Be ready. Some will really bite agressive, others will lightly pick and move. Water on camp side in upper sixties on sunny days by 4pm; day use side typically high 50's to 60 by 4pm. Snap your pics and gently release! There is talk of opening up river 5 months a year next year; keep fingers crossed.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got to the lake at 7:00 p.m. to check out the night bite. Started in upper lake (5mph zone) throwing blades until I broke it off. Went to a shallow crank and caught 3 fairly quick right off the bank. My partner was throwing a buzz bait which they were eating pretty good. I picked up a chatter bait and caught another 4 or 5 on it. The bite slowed down around 10:00 and we picked up a couple more here and there. All fish were 2-2 1/2 lbs. never found the toad I was hoping for.
    City: Fresno

Tips: The fish seemed to go after anything moving near shallow grass. Maybe try deeper water nearby for a kicker.

    Water Temp: 57-63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: If you had talked to me at noon, I would have told you to stay home. I was not a happy camper with the morning bite. We had fewer than 10 fish by noon. Three blade fish and a few on senkos and split shot worms. The next three hours were a different story. My 7 year old and myself caugt around 30 fish in the next three hours. The fish were super shallow. I will keep it simple. Jerk jerk pause, Jerk jerk pause, Jerk jerk pause...... Enough said.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Most bites came with the bait sitting still. Don't fish too fast. The pause was key. Water has some color in it so choose your colors accordingly.

    Water Temp: 52.7-54.3

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: It is great to see the lake with water in it. I fished this lake one time before when there was water and that was back in 06. then the lake was very full. I started fishing the this lake last year once I moved to Fresno. I am still learning this place and today was a learning experince. I took the advice of previous report and I started with the blade. about 5 minutes of fishing and I hook up with a chunker just under 3lbs its 6:30am. then 1.5 lbr about 6:50am. Then nothing until about 10 and I get one on the senko almost 3lbs. about 30mins later and 2lbr on the blade. The wind was kicking up and I am having a problem with the charge on my trolling motor battery so I leave the lake around 11:30. The senko fish was a fat female ready to pop. Normally i'd say she would maybe go 2 lbs. looked like a football.

Tips: A lot of fresh grass in the water. rip the blades out of there and wait on the attack. Don't be afaird to go shallow all fish in less than 10FOW. I didn't fish deep at all, maybe i would have got a few more.

Report: Fished a tournament w/ Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society. Started at first cove to the left of the dam. Caught a nice 2.5 lb. shallow on a lipless crank bait in the first 10 minutes. Continued fishing the area with out another bite, also trying jigs, and carolina rigs. Moved to the upper end of the lake and started catching again on jigs and texas rigged plastics shallow (2-10 feet). My wife had her limit by 9:30 and was able to cull a couple times. I was stuck at 3 fish and the fish stopped biting around 11:00. Kept working back and forth over the 75 yard stretch where we caught them before. Finally about 1:30 I decided to move out of the bank and found fish stacked up on a ledge that went from 10 feet down to 24 feet. I caught 6 fish between 1:30and 3:00, all 2 to 3 lbs. Ended up with 4 fish for a little over 9.5 lbs., enough to win by 2 lbs. My wife took 3rd about a tenth of a pound behind 2nd.
    City: Fresno

Tips: When you find fish and they stop biting keep trying they won't be far from where you first caught them, and they will be stacked up this time of year. Try jigs, T-rig, and C-rigged plastics.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from sun up til about 2pm. Caught two nice trout fishing for bass. Little woman caught 3 bass, only one landed on the boat. Thought she had a "stick fish" and kept pulling and pulling...you know the dead weight of a darn log and all of a sudden it shot up and out of the water and i think she was gonna die. Landed it, nice 3.5lber. Fun day on the lake, beautiful day. Hard work but should be getting much easier in the next few weeks im guessing
    City: Clovis`

Tips: Nothing on stick bait, spinner bait or cranks. Wife caught all hers on mini red senkos w/bullet weight, and she halfed 6" brown senkos and halfed 6" green senkos and hooked up on all she used...just couldnt seem to land em but one. Still think plastics are working best.

Water Temp: -50 last we wer

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: This is in response to the guy asking if anyone fished here lastely. As this is my most favorite lake, havent gone out for a month or so. last time i went it was all baby red senkos drifting the bottom...BUT, took my kids to Hensley just so they could do some trout fishing and i walked the shore dreaming of a few bass. Well it came true. I was fishing a few coves around the boat launch area...opposite of the swimming area launch. Kids caught their trout while mommie used a half 6" big red senko and caught a 3lber and then a bit later there are some rocks across the parkling lot and i was able to land my baby red senko right on the rocks and drag it off and bam, another 3lber...then it was time to go...i think bass are coming...God, what a long season it seems before the bass come.
    City: Clovis

Tips: Large or preferred small red senkos. Weightless with the big ones and a small bullet on the small ones.

    Water Temp: 52.3 to 53.8

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The bass are holding in 21 to 40 feet of water and jigs are still taking bass from 2 1/2 to 4 pounds. The cold weather has kept most anglers away from the lake. Bank anglers fishing for trout are also staying away. Bass are holding on and around rock structure and brush piles in deeper water also fish are holding on humps in depths of 30 feet or deeper. Green pumpkin, black, green crystal/blue,black flake jigs in 3/8 or 1/2 oz football head trailers 156 yamamoto 5" single tail grubs. This combo has been working here now going on 3 weeks now. Colder weather has slowed them some but you can still put some nice bass in the boat in several hour of fishing. Water is dingy/stained and still coming up but not to bad fish will stiil bite.
    City: madera

Tips: Fish slow work the structure you target long cast let the bait settle crawl the bait slowly back to the boat by not losing contact with the bottom. Also vertical jigging here this time of the year is proved too be a very good method for catching the bigger bass that are being targeted. I do both and they work really well for me.

    Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished with my friend Nathan from 1:30 - 4:45 pm 14 bites/6 boated/3 breakoffs in rocks/5 missed. Water is about to turn over. Still has fine granular algae. 1.5 to 2.5 lbs
    City: Madera Ranchos

Tips: Fish were 10-25 ft with a few scattered to 30 ft. Brush hogs/creature baits in green pumpkin/watermelon red

Very light bite. Slow down your presentation. Fish the fall line on drops to adjacent deep water. If they don't eat it on the fall, deadstick it for 30 seconds once it hits the bottom. Once the thermcline hits, everything changes.
