    Water Temp: 64-66

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The rain last monday dirtied the water a little but cleared by the weekend. We went out and started throwing fish in the boat quickly. First fish was the big fish a 4lber on a 4" senko. Missed a big one on a swim jig. Really a morning bite with VERY little happening in the afternoon. Got one flipping but the post-spawn flip bite hasn't taken off yet. Saw a couple fish on beds but all small. Saw some males gaurding fry but none of them were super agressive.

Tips: Fish hard in the morning cuz thats when it was happening. Senkos are working for better quality fish and drop-shot for numbers. Post-spawn flip bite maybe on soon with the high temps we had this weekend. Best 5 went about 14lbs. If you fish here, post and share whats goin on! As always catch and release.

Report: K so I see some other guys rippin out here and thought I'd get this lafayette report going again. Fishing was alright we ran all over and took a while to actually find some fish. Threw everything including a little top water and swimbaits (hudds & 3:16) but only got em on drop-shot and wacky senkos. Fish are closer to the tules and on the bottom. There are some post-spawn fish hangin around the surface but the majority of the bass are still pre-spawn. Looked everywhere for beds but only found 1 that looked pretty old. This bite should spark up pretty soon. Anyone who fishes here knows it can be a grind but the reward can be awesome! Best 5 only went about 10.

Tips: Anyone reading this and fishes lafayette (which can be a very high-quality fishery if you know what you're doing) please post about your success and failure. We gotta get this report going again so we can help each other. Going back out on Sat and hope to see some other guys out here. Remember this is pretty small lake that gets a load of pressure when you think about how small it is so remember, as always, please practice catch and release.

    Water Temp: 61 F

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got out on my float tube and fished the east side of the dam clockwise to the southern dock. I fished the edges of weedbeds and tules with crankbaits and spinnerbaits but no takers. Tried pitching jigs on the edges of the tules but still nothing. I think the recent cold weather has slowed the bass down. I didn't see any holding off dropoffs on my sonar so I think they're buried in the tules in deeper water.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Wait for a few days of warm weather to wake the bass up.

    Water Temp: 40F

Report: I fished for 3 hours and caught my limit of bass in 2 hours so i went for trout with rapala balsa baits and got 2 trout over 26 inches.
    City: Walnut Creek

Tips: Fish very slow and fish under docks and structure.

    Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went to Lafayette reservoir at 6:30 am and fished till 11:30 am. I had my limit of bass in that period of time. My smallest fish was 2lb and my largest fish was 4lb i was very happy with the fight.
    City: Walnut Creek

Tips: I use 25 lb braid and 12lb mono with rip baits by weeds and docks. Feel for a good pull that feels like weeds but after you set the hook it runs. Also dropshot with a 4 inch robo worms are killer. Fish very slow and keep it simple and the most important part is remember to catch and release. Have Fun

Report: Just got a bass setup and would love some tips on where on the lake to fish for these guys. Have senkos, spinner baits, buzz baits, and a rattletrap.

I've also tried for trout 3 times in the late evening this month for trout and been skunked. Fished 2 rods, one with a pumped up night crawler on a sliding sinker 18" off the bottom, and the other throwing kastmasters, rapallas, and superdupers with no luck.

Any tips appreciated for this beginning angler.

Report: Amar, all you've got to bring is some gear for drop shotting/shaky head jigs, and some wacky rigged senkos( i prefer greens here). Robo worms for dropshot and your favorite shakyhead worms. The fish here are real finicky about what color they want and presentation speed, so switch it up. Other stuff works to but for numbers this is the way to go. Well as for right now the fishing is dead, I went to try some deep jigging for a few hours but no takers, too cold. And to top it off nobody on the lake could get a trout to hit for anything.
    City: Benicia

Tips: Fishing really isn't that great right now for bass, but in spring when the water is around 67 degrees and your timing's right it can be ridiculous here. just don't get used to it. My best day last year was around 23 or so bass over 3lbs biggest of the day coming in at little over 8. It would have been something like double that but I ran out of all my greenish colored senkos and all I had left was flouresent pink. I have never seen a day like that at this lake and I fish here since before I could hold my own pole.

Report: I got on the water around 3 threw everything I had. Spinnerbait, crankbait, jig, senko and I ended up with one 3.5lb fish that bit a huddleston rof5.
    City: norcal

Tips: With this consistant weather and warmer nights the fish should start to stage and eat up on trout. Start throwin the big baits for bigger fish and you should be rewarded.

    Water Temp: 51??

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: my bro., my friend and i went out early to lafayette and to our secret fishing dock and got about 3 hits, 1 we landed- decent size. my friend also saw a 50lbs+ sturgeon jump clean out of the water- no fake- it was WWWAY out there though and we had no chance! i'm kind of getting bored of trout fishing here even though i caught an 8 pounder back in November and on the same day my buddy caught a 5 3/4 #er.
    City: el cerrito

Tips: some days are bad some days are good. i've noticed that you either catch big ones or dinks- usually dinks- but it's still more productive than Chabot. and somebody please write a report here after this!!

    Water Temp: Low 70s

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the East Cove from my tube today from around 1:30 to 6:30pm. Caught about 10 fish, most of them were dinks with the exception of two that probably went about 1.5 lbs each. In past weeks I did pretty well throwing Texas-rigged Sweet Beavers around the weed edges, but today the fish came on the drop-shot. 10-15 feet of water held the fish. I'm suprised at how warm the water is, the fish seemed pretty active today. I had about an 8-10 pound bass follow one of the dinks to the tube. The big one hit the dink a few times and splashed around a bit. This was the first time I've had this happen but have heard about it happening. Maybe a swimbait might not have been a bad idea.
