Report: the morning started slow with 2 fish coming on a fat free about 9 am... We picked up a couple stragglers throughout the day whenever a water skier would churn up the water, but it got good during the last hour and a half of daylight, fishing 15 ft. of water with dark jigs.
We caught almost 20 fish, or we caught the same 3.5 pound fish over and over again. they were all clones. No reaction bite at all today.
    City: auburn

Tips: The coontail grass, and other weeds seem to end when you hit about 12-14 of water. If you can follow that edge, the bass will come out of the grass and hammer your jig. the places that are deep and still close to shore are holding good fish.

    Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: my buddy Dan and I worked our fannies off all day just to get 6 fish in the boat.
3 came on buzzbaits,a couple on cranks.
most of those came as soon as the skies opened up and dumped on us at dusk.
They have lowered the lake 2.5 feet and the weeds are right on top as a result.
Alot of fish were striking about 2 feet away from the buzzbaits.

Tips: we talked to a real nice gentleman that said he was getting them a little deeper on jigs and senkos.
Maybe thats the ticket, cuz we werent doing very well doing what usually does us well.

    Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: went out night fishing with my buddy randy. We took off about 7:oo pm, and fished till about 1:30 a.m.
Total we got about 20 bass. A slow night for this lake.
we got a few on beavers, and buzzbaits, but most on chatterbaits.
Randy threw a senko till his arm fell off and could'nt get bit.
He also threw a basstrix and still no takers.
We caught most in the last 2 feet of water and probably had a 25# limit. The lions share came on C.B.'s
Broke off 4 huge fish at the boat.
    City: auburn

Tips: The places where you could fish shallows close to deeper water drop offs seemed to hold more solid concentrations of larger fish.
I was stupid to fish this late in the year with only 12 pound test. The bigger ones are feeding more aggressively and your bound to tangle with one if you fish late enough.

    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fished till 1:30 in the morning and nailed three fives on consecutive cast. Then it slowed down. All in all I pulled out 15 fish in about 5 hours. Most came about 20 feet off shore on chatterbaits, but I pulled a couple off the rock piles on beavers in about 10 feet of water. This lake is going to break open in the next 2 weeks. the water is just so warm still.

    Water Temp: 79

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: a few cooler nights got the fish to respond to buzzbaits.
My buddy Dan fooled a huge bass into taking his double blade buzzbait, but I think it was dan who got fooled because somewhere out in those waters that bass is still swimming around with a buzzbait piercing in his lips after he broke dan off.
Chatterbaits got a few and big fish for the night (5#).
A few really large fish were lost, but the fish weren't where we expected them to be.
Dan got a few on a big spinnerbait.
    City: auburn

Tips: The very best bites seem to be way late at night or way early in the morning.

    Water Temp: 83

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I went out night fishing twice this week with two different buds, and both times the fishing didn't get "great" until well after dark.
Both nights the fish had no desire for plastics.
Both buds caught a few on big worms, and I even got a couple on brush hogs, but the chatterbait outfished the plastics by a large margin.
I found that if you throw a dark one tight to shore, and then rip it about 3 turns of the handle then let it fall... the bass will pick it up. Still no topwater action for me. I threw a buzzbait till the hook rusted off.
I also tried a spook, and a frog. Not even a follower. Maybe a week of cold nights will turn the lake on.
Its just too hot right now.
    City: auburn

Tips: Last night we caught about 20, with one close to 6 lb. It was a full moon, and we caught most in the darkest places we could find.

    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just before dusk the bass were chasing bait on the flats in about 6-8 feet of water. an hour later they were tight to the bank.
A 7.3 took a dark chatterbait from under a dock and ripped line out then jumped around for 5 minutes like he was in a hot skillet. That was the hardest fightin bass I have ever caught. He fought harder than fish I have caught that were a few pounds larger. Picked up two 5's and a couple of 3's. 9 bass total.
All of them seemed downright ticked off about being psyched out by fake food. I lost one at the boat that might have been my biggest fish ever. All came on a chatterbait. They didnt want plastic or topwaters tonight.
    City: auburn

Tips: chatterbaits real slow worked for me tonight

    Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: fished 4 hours in the early morning. It was about the slowest day Ive had this year.
I got 6 in the boat. 4 on buzzbaits, (the biggest about 5), 1 on a chatterbait, and 1 on a fluke.
I broke one off at the boat that would have went 6, got him on a brushhog in deep water.
Seems like the fish are holding anywhere you can find shallow water near deeper water, but the problem with that is the ache boarders are out like rats in an aquaduct.
My trolling motor prop was outta the water more than it was in because of the big waves.

Tips: go way early or night fish.

    Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: fished all night friday till the sun was just about to come up.
My buddy Randy and I caught 40 bass, the biggest 5 went maybe 25 pounds.
Broke off a few bigger ones because I bought cheap line.
Most fish were in the last foot of water. we finally started catching them on top (buzzbaits).
Most came on reaction baits though. like cb.'s in darker colors. Its a tougher bite when the water is 77 during the day.
They are spraying weed killer on the hydrilla the 19th, and 20th, so the lake will be closed then.
The chemical they use (syngenta reward) really has a noticeable effect on the bite.
last year they wouldnt touch anything for 5 days, and the grass grew right back within 2 weeks. The powers that be need to consider adding dye to the lake instead of poison. the chemical binds itself to the lake sediment, i.e (the bottom and bass beds including eggs).
Im not a biologist but it wouldn't surprise me to hear in 5 years that it is being pulled from the shelves because of adverse and unexpected reactions.

    Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Way windy tonight, but I was only out for 70 minutes and caught 21 bass, the first five fish came on an underspin, the next 16 came on c.b.'s with white trailers.
no rhyme or reason to location. wherever I threw it, there was a fish lickin its lips.
The cat tails have gone green and are pushing out oxygen like my fat buddy after 7 layer bean dip, and you cant go wrong throwing any kind of blade in tight to them. they're still ignoring my topwater like its was asking for spare change. I knew it was going to be a great day cuz I was sneezing all day like I had taken needle noses to my nose hairs. The top of the water was covered in a chartreuse pollen, and the windblown shores had most of the fish.
    City: auburn

Tips: plastics just aint getting it done today. I talked to a couple of real nice gentleman that had only caught 4 fish in like 2 hours using senko's, beavers, and brush hogs.

    Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: it has slowed down considerably. I caught 7 bass in 2 hours. mostly on c.b.'s.
But I did get one about 5.5 on a home made thingy.
    City: auburn

Tips: the algae blooms have hit the surface in some of the coves in the south with this warm spell, but the fish arent near them. They seem to be in the clearer water at the north end, roaming the flats.

    Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: 60 bass for my buddy randy and I in 9 hours.
We got a few off the rock piles early on with senkos, and beavers then a few skipping docks.
But at dusk we couldnt help but catch them on every cast for at least an hour, throwing c.b"s, and these ugly home made thingys.
It cooled off for a few hours, and then around midnight they started killing anything that made a splash. The biggest was around 7, and we had an impacted buttload of 5's. Our best 5 went close to 30 pounds.
    City: auburn

Tips: throw something with a hook in the wet part of the lake, and you will catch something.

    Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: went out early, and took one off a dock, with a beaver first cast.. almost always a bad omen (cept on this lake).
went out to the flats and pulled back to back 5 pounders out.
went across the lake and pulled 3 more off the rocks.
then back in the coves and nailed maybe 7 more on a crankbait.
hit the flats on the way back in and tricked a 7 pounder on a homeade thingy, and a few 3 pounders.
A great day for only being out 3.5 hours
    City: auburn

Tips: sloooow got em today, even the crankbaits.
any color will work as long as its purple.
