Report: I got on the lake at 12 noon and got o at 6 pm trolled rom the 5 mile hr bouy to the lopez arm and around to the strawberry lats.I like to keep a loose drag on when I troll in case o a hang up ,then my line wont break. And sure enough zzzzzzzzzzzzz my reel was screeming.I though I had a snag on the bottom then a 2 lb 16" rainbow took one big jump then went deep.I learned that when trolling or bass or trout you DON'T STOP THE BOAT!!!! when a ish is on .Just trottle down to a crawling speed this will keep pressure on the ish and with the loose drag the line wont break, you dont want it too loose you just need to ind the sweet spot.I then docked my new 13' greger boat on the lats dock and ished power bait and nightcrawlers with a hook on the end o my line and a splitshot 1' up to allow the bait to rise rom the bottom, also injecting air in the crawlers help alot.Ater it was all done I went home with my ive ish limit. This was my ith time out this yr and the irst time I caught ish .The irst our times I went strictly or bass ater being skunked that many times I decited to go or trout and it paid o. Tight lines and God Bless Ernie
    City: Santa Maria,Ca

Tips: Trout will bite almost anything this time o yr.powerbait(any color)/salmon eggs/salted anchovies/nightcrawlers/Trout colored lures or trolling like rapalas countdown work well, or trout colored broken minnows are my avorite or bass and trout

Report: well I went ishing ater work ,got on the lake @2:00 p.m and got o at 5:30.I took my wie out and she soaked a night crawler about 1 t o the bottom in 50-60 t water while I bounced my purple jig with josh pork rine trailer @ the same depth. We ish one area or about 30-45 mins then trolled about 15 t down with cranks where I was picking up some ish @ 30 t on my inder.I did this cause I thought we might get lucky. That works really well in the summer time when ish come up to 8-16 t water. This was my third time out since I got my new boat and still 0 or 3.I you can go out and consitantly catch bass this time o yr I would say you are an experianced isherman.I think one problem is I have no trolling motor so I must anchor to pick the bottom with worms and jigs.Hopeully I'll get the hang o this ishing thing soon.I did ind one thing interesting while we were anchored in 65-70' water there was water ducks o some sort diving down and comming up with minnows. This tells me that there were bait ish near and shallow.I would say there was easilly 200-300 birds there diving down or about 5 secs then comming u with minnos .This all happened at around 4:00-5:00.The good thing was we got to get out and enjoy the lake on the weekday as well as most weekends.Untill next time God bless you and be sae on the water .
