Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got out for two hours late and fished till dark. Caught 14 bass, biggest was 4.42. Caught fish on rattle traps, speed traps, swimming jigs and brush hogs.
    City: Novato

Tips: Fish seemed to want the baits moving. Don't give up on your cast. I caught more than half of my fish with 2-3 feet of line out and dragging it in front of me. Works in the spring with spinner baits too. Have your drag set a little loose, cause the fish I caught were hot.

    City: Richmond

Tips: I caught a 7# bass on a minnow bait at the dam.My buddy Don caught a long catfish at the dam on chicken liver.I can only tell people don't give up on this lake.I can go early or late and catch something bass, crappie, catfish.throw everything including the kitchen sink. good luck!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water around 6pm on the upper arm of the lake (side closer to town). There were about 5-6 fishermen on the rocks, i think jigging for crappies. I crossed the heavy weeds to the far side, but i brought my tick repellant this time, so no worries. Nailed two small shakers around 7:30pm on a crawdad crankbait. Got a nice 3# on a white spinnerbait around 8:30pm. Tried senkos, brush-hawgs (jerk bait style and texas), but no luck.
    City: San Rafael

Tips: They hit hard on the crankbait. Steady retrieve. Not to slow. Tried all type of presentations w/the spinnerbaits. Finally i just brought it in steadily with no stop and go. She didnt hit hard, but kind of started to swim away with it, kind of like a drop shot fish. I barely felt any preasure on the line, but saw the line moving up stream. When in doubt-set the hook!

    Report: Carp.
Nicascio was alive with'em today. Went to snoop for crappie but could not concentrate on those with pods of 5-25 carp criusing by at very regular intervals.
A #16 very dark woolybugger produced a few as did a clipped chart deerhair w/ CDC or marabou palmered thru it #8 top-water bug built like a wooly worm.
Danged interesting to watch'em spook from bird shadows. Acres of'em. :-)
Never did find any crappie... :hmmm
Will the bass be far behind?

Report: tryed nicasio or 3 or 4 hours, caught one little guy on white/silver spinnerbait,saw/talked to about 6 other ishermen who were ishing bass, only one caught a ish that day, however ive heard some pretty good reports recently on the ar upper end o the lake, closest to town. everybody has been ishing spinnerbaits, primarily whites and chartrueses.

Report: DIDNT FISH NICASIO!,tryed Kent lake(MMWD water supply reservoir) ished with a buddy or about 2 hours, hiked 4 -5 miles down rom alpine dam, ished a cove near a pumping station, tryed pumpkin brush hogs, several crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. inally got one 13",1-1/2 lb. largemouth on a yozuri crystal minnow(rainbow trout,4-1/2") with an owner tournament trailer in iretiger color, we saw a couple ish jump, the lake must be less than 5 t. rom ull capacity......didnt see any other anglers at all...why no ishing reports rom the MMWD reservoirs? Kent,Alpine, and Phoenix all have quality bass.
    City: san raael

Tips: the upper mile or 2 o Kent lake is ull o brush, trees, etc. when the lake is this ull, there is a tremendous amount o cover or bass, large areas o this lake are nearly inaccessible. i know o anglers who have caught quality ish here on brush hogs.

Report: i ished a couple hours midday in the heat,i caught 2 dinks on white/silver blades 3/8 oz. spinnerbait, cast parallel to large rip-rap on the bank.i caught the ish on nearly consecutive casts, both hit very solid.no hits either beore or ater, however, seems strange since i continued to ish identical looking areas.i tryed about 500 t. o rocky shoreline in 3 dierent locations.i also tryed a Fin-S-ish ished weightless, with no results.
    City: San Raael

Tips: maybe a chartruese spinnerbait would work better in this water color, other isherman i talked to didnt seem to have any luck at all, however most others were dunking bait or mini jigs under bobbers or crappie.

Report: Caught a 4#er early in the am using a chartruese 6-8t diving crankbait, then switched to a big-lipped crawdad and ound them taking a liking to it. Caught three more within the 3-5 lb range, one with a crawdad still hanging out o it's stomach. Be careul and use some orm o tick repellant when walking through the grass ields cause you'll need it.

Report: Started at 11:00 in the morning and caught a 2# largemouth bass at 11:25. Only catch o the day. Fish was caught on white spinnerbaitwith a stop and go retrieve. O note a large Coca-Cola red crawdad was sighted and jigs might improve ishing. The one ish was caught in 3 t water by rip-rap.
    City: San Raael

Tips: In August ishing is hard but spinnerbaits work well. I didn't have luck with plastics because I eel the water isn't clear enough. I have been told that they do work. I would suggest using the most powerul scented plastics you can ind.Good Luck.Fishing Reports or Nicasio Reservoir
