Report: Chico Bass Club held their Spring Spectacular on the 24th, 107 teams showed or the sping event. A well done to the Chico Club. They run a tourny as good i not better than most Pro circuts! It was a day to remember ormysel and my parnter Back Seat Wi lly. We had been on ish in this particular location in the South Fork since the New Year. It proved its sel once again! Willy and I started there that morning and stayed there all day. The bite was on early that morning. Throwing brush hogs rigged inve ted to make it immulate a live dad, we pitched the 6in blue saphire with a 2/0 Berkley o set and a nail weight in the head so the head alls irst and the lippers or claws react to the line when you lit the rod tip! Ten lb. xt and 20t. o water arou d wood and you've got the key ingrediants. We caught ish all day, but, the high pressure and the N. wind put the bite o. We weighed 14.26 with a 4.77 kicker to win the tourny. Try this method with the brush hogs. I would like to thank Willy or being great partnet and Ryan Olenberger or the help durring pre ish.
