Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: got on the water @ 10AM and started throwing a jig and drop shot. No dice all day till i fianaly got one (1.5 lb) on a senko off the back reeds. The alge bloom is definately still present. I HATE IT. its so thick my fish finder doesnt even read fish. I guess they just stocked so i tried my new 3:16 mission fish with no production. I feel that those fish have already gorged themselves on stockers so theyre not too hungry right now. Just a hunch.
    City: Watsonville, Ca

Tips: Talked to a guy that says go suuuuuuper sloooow with your presentation. Not the easiest theing to do. Good luck.

    Water Temp: 68-70

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: went out from 2-6pm and caught 3 keepers. best was around 3lb on a jig. algae bloom is insane right now! water is green and around tules its almost pea soup consistency in some spots. it almost smells like manure to tell you the truth.

Tips: persistence is key. wooded areas were the most productive. all bites were either around wood or willows. the last half hour before lake closes always seems to produce the best bites. be ready to scrub green crud of your boat after loading.

    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: No production all day. Got on in my boat at 10 and off at 2:30 with only one nibble. I tried every bait in my bag so it definately dropped my confidence level down a notch on all of them. Water has NASTY moss growing on it, no water visibility at all. First time i boated the lake and seems to look like a nice lake. This is also a very shallow lake. I probably spotted 30 fish total on my fish finder for the whole day. Very frusterating, but ya gotta keep you hook wet to catch em.

Report: Got out or a couple o hours today, got nothing. I lipped a black and red jig the entire time, got one bite, and didn't get a good hookset. On a really sad note I ound a gill net in some tules. As I was pulling and cutting it out I pulled up a bass. It was about 1.5#. I thought it was dead at irst but it moved so I careully cut it ree and let it go.I suspect that people who would use a gill net are not likely to visit this orum so I'll skip preaching about why they are so bad. GILL NETS SUCK!
    City: Santa Cruz

Tips: Try something other than a red and black jig. I you use a gill net I hope Fish and Game get a hold o you.
