Report: On the water at 6am. Wind coming out o west at 8mph..I launched rom Dino Pt. Three small Stripers real quick throwing a chrome trap all small 3lb ish..one ollower that was double digit but wouldn't commit..Wind kinda went lat and I just jumped rom point to point and where there was bait we cought ish..Today I took out a riend that stayed with his ly rod and he ended up with 3 stripers and one nice black about 4lbs..this is a good time o year to be on this lake , there is a decent jig bite or blacks and the little schoolie stripes can be had all day i you just keep moving. Lake is down about 50'..maybe more. there is a slight algea bloom going on in some areas and the bait is balled up with it..
    City: San Jose

Tips: keep a topwater bait tied on and keep throwing it..you'll get bit. Be careull trying to cross 152 to go west..It's kinda sketchy!!

Report: I ished Check point 12 at the san luis creek area. It's my avorite spot or catish, black bass, and stripped bass. Most o the time only small stripped bass will bite but occasionally someone will land a 15-20 inch stripped bass. Most catish I catch are small so they are released but I always get one that is 5-10lbs. I they are more than 10lbs I also let them go.Catish at san luis has no size limit and no bag limit but a good sports ishermen should let the small ones go and not take more than you should.
    City: San Jose

Tips: As soon as the sun begins to set, the catish will go crazy. They will bite immediatly i you are using clams. They will take a while to bite on anchovies, liver, worms. For stripped bass, I am always bait ishing. I use liver because they seem to love it more than anchovies but liver is harder to bait. For black bass, go where all the rocks are against the shore and pick your avorite lure and start ishing. I've seen some people accidentally catch 20 inch stripped bass.

Report: A riend and I ished the orebay near the 152 bridge in the aternoon. The water was very clear, I think due to the release o water rom San Luis. We had planned on kick boating, but it was too windy. Ended up bait ishing or a while, then wading and casting lures. We ished the bridge pilings or black bass with no hits, then tried the area outside the bouys or stripers. We caught three small stripers on hair raisers and lies.
    City: Mountain View

Tips: Small rattle traps, hair raisers, or lies. The baitish are generally small this year, so use small lures. The ishing is slow now.

Report: Well have not been over for some time so i took a guy i meet from New York.We got there about 6:30 and as alway's this time of year it was a little on the windy side.So we ran to the back of Dinosaur point he picked one up right away on a Spook look alike,a little over four pound's.Then the wind let up and we ran out and fished the flat's.Lot's of fish mostly on jerkbait's but did ok on Zoom Super Fluke's also.Small fish between 2.5 and 4 lbs.He had a few hit's and follow's on a Senko but no hookup's.Oh yea i did hook him as he was trying to get a fish for me on my Bogagrip made me feel kinda bad.

Tips: Get over there before long it will be to hot. They have started dropping the lake and that is the clue to start fishing the reaction bite over there.Good luck

Report: Got to lake at 11:00am to fish the afternoon. Was a little windy when i got there.Started out at dino point fished jerbait and rat-l-trap for about an hour not one bite. Then ran down to fish the flat's below the windmill's and got 8 hit's and landed five.Largest 26"about four pound's.Was like watching wild kingdom,I was just working the bank's i noticed at the next cove a big black animal right at the water. So i got about three feet from the bank and snuck over to check it out.I was able to sneak up to about 25 yard's becouse the bank was hideing me.It was about a three hundred pound boar.I watched him and boy he stuck that nose in the air and about three sniff's and man up the hill he went. Then the next cove was the herd of those Tule elk and about 5 coyote's pretty cool.Fishing was slow but i stayed entertained by wildlife.
    City: SALINAS

Tips: Well i think the reaction bite is about to dye off.Switch to jumbo live minnow's winter seem's to be the best for this.

Report: This report is for O'Neill fore bay. The fishing has been consistant with 30+ fish days when the wind will permit. Most fish in the 18-24" range with an occasional better fish in the 7-10lb class. All on the flats with topwater plugs and a few on the weed edges with traps or hair jigs. They will also eat a fluke as a follow up bait to a missed topwater plug.
    City: San Jose

Tips: poppers, spitting image and super spooke jr is what we have been throwing...Please handle them with care as this is not a self sustaining fishery.
