Must land and release ish quickly or be prepared to "izz" them. Had to do so on two ish inspite o our eorts to avoid the problem. Not a diicult procedure i you do your homework. Report: Fishing was horrible. Got to the lake at 10 am, and we called it quit at 6 pm. We irst thought that the ish might start to biting late aternoon. We went to Miller Canyon and everywhere, and we caught nothing. the shore was ull o algea (green loating stu) and always got stucks on the lure's hook. We asked couple anglers around, and they also said that ishing had been extremely slow. We tried all dierent lures: plastics, jigs, small rapala, spinner, and even nightcrawlers ... still we went home with a dry sack. Hmmm ... I am wondering i the lake is stocked at all.probably I should go to lake casitas ater all.

    Water Temp: 60*

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: It seemed to be, that it was going to be just one o those day's when you can't do no wrong, well, it turned out be just so. I ished my G-Loomis IMX 843 all morning spooled up with 6 lb blue izorline, with my baby calcutta 50. Water temperature was at 60 degrees today beore i let and that was at 1:30, so i igured the water temp in the morning was at around the high end o the 50"s 58, 59. Got ten bass, all on Senko"s, purple smoke with the black hologram. I then soon ran out o those, and i themn had to go to the 3 1/2 inch Green Watermelon with black lake. It Did'nt matter, as ar as the color go's, i pretty much dead stuck them all morning long. It should be another good day tomorrow, and the place i was ishing was Cleghorn Canyon. And i was not in a boat, straight rom the shore. Sincerely, Mark Marion, aka "Micropterus Salemoids". PEACE.
    City: Whittier, Caliornia

Tips: Looks like the spawn is pretty much over, however, i didnt ish rom boat, so i cant say or sure that this is true, not all bass spawn at the same time. I would suggest giving them Gary Yamamotos baits a try. Water was clear, and not at all warm, 60 degrees at best i would say bearable or the bass.

Report: Fished Silverwood or the irst time; its a beautiul lake. The wind was pretty ierce so it hampered the site bite; but did see some beds when the wind would die down or a ew. I used senkos without weight irst but the bait didnt sink like it suppose to; so i texas rigged it on a 3/16th brass and glass and shook like crazy. I missed a lot o ish do to the high wind but managed to bring in 5 ish ranging rom 1.8lbs to 2.9lbs. Tried to split shot but didnt have much luck there. I plan on going back to this lake and have a new respect or it. There is a lot o good quality northern strain bass here that are willing to bite i you hunt or them.
