Tips: Shad Patterned Cranks...I was using a Shad Rapala Fat Rap, Paul was using a Shad patterned Fat Free Shad.

Report: Fished right side, with minimal success. Started around 6 PM; Paul threw a Yo Zuri popper, and I threw a Terminator Buzzbait (white). Hooked up with about a 10 incher right away on the buzz. Paul caught several ish the size o his popper (literally) and I went hitless or the rest o the day. Overall, nothing above 10 inches.

Report: Well, I took a co-worker and a couple o his cub scout kids out on Soulajule to try and load up on some crappie. Could not ind them on the west end o the lake. I they are up on the north and east end, they should be coming up any time on the south and west end. Did manage 3 black bass to about 2 ounds on small spinner baits. The bass are up in the grass lats, and look like they have not spawned yet. I know there are some ish bedding, as they would just pick up my worm and move it without ever getting the hook. I'm still waiting on the big emales to get into their groove so I can get some o them to tug on my line a little. Too bad or the kids that we could not get into the crappie. Last year when they came up it was one o those deals when you catch them until you get tired o them. Lots o nice bass will come up with them too and eat on the smaller crappie while they are shallow.

Report: It's been a while since I've ished Soula', but the crappie was outstanding, though most were small. You could honestly catch a hundred or two! A small 1/64 1" tube or grub in chartreuse (or your avorite color) rigged tandem a oot apart a couple eet under a tiny bobber, tipped with a wax worm i the ish were touchy. Ice ishing jigs were also good. From the dam let as ar back as you cared to walk. Caught a ew nice ones (2lb) ishing plastics or bass, but most about hand size. A long ultralight rod, a backpack, and good hiking boots with a ew jigs and your set. Well that's how it used to be. Good luck!

    Water Temp: I'm not putting

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished ater the snow stopped just or the novelty o it all. Caught one about 3 lbs on jig o o a big rockpile, but deep, and missed another one that hit my jig while I stopped to pee. I tucked the rod under my arm to take care o business, and it just sort o started moving o slowly. I missed it in all the excitement o trying to zip up with one hand, and set with the other. I guess I'm sold on deadsticking jigs now.Lots o trout seen breaking the surace. There are not supposed to be trout here according to the ranger who lives on the lake, but they are here. They are apparently wild ish, since they are pretty small and I have not heard o any trout plants here. I hope the bass are chowing down on them and getting at or me to catch them in the spring!
    City: Santa Rosa

Tips: Slow, and deep. Make lots o noise to get them interested. Do you want to know where I sunk the Christmas trees?

    Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 1pm to 5pm. Not a single bite. Ripped a little bit. Threw a jig or awhile. Threw a senko or awhile. Threw a spinnerbait or awhile. Threw a texas rigged tube, brushhog, and senko. You get the picture. They were not biting. I ished new water or me. Over by the satellite station. I let my dropshot rig at home on purpose. I'll never make that mistake again. Next time out there, I'm gonna screw them up with the dropshot. I covered a lot o water and got a great workout. Since I did not stick any ish, I had to punish mysel by running all the way back to the truck. I don't know how many miles, but I was soaking with sweat when I got back to the truck. I got something out o the deal. People leaving the satellite station must have thought I was nuts. Seeing this guy running with ishing rods and tackle, sweat dripping down my ace. What's wrong with this guy? I enjoyed it. Thats what it's all about.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: For me, it's just gonna be dropshottting next time out. I'll bet my next report will be a lot dierent. I'm gonna rig two baits on the dropshot. Baby brushhog 6 to 8 inches above weight and and 5 inch grub 6 inches above the brushhog. I that don't work, I'll jump in ater them. Just kidding. I you hear any explosions out there, don't worry. It's just me dynamiting the ish. It works well on ish that will not bite. Stick with the dropshot and move til you get one. I'll take any suggestions also. LETS GET IT ON. Mcgee out.

    Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 1pm to 5pm. Went way in the back and dropshotted baby brushhogs(water/red). Caught seven ish to 3lbs. Here's the bad part. All ish caught o steep rocky banks with tree stumps. Had to cast rom the cattle trail or about ten eet above the water. Could not get to water level because too steep. Extremely dangerous way to ish One slip and it's adios. You could get seriously hurt. Not a good idea to ish by yoursel. Be smart. Anyway I tried blading and crankin. Nothing. Shallow water. Nothing. The urther you can go back the better. Where it starts to narrow. I cast out and let some more line out and then I engaged the reel. The line would start to swing towards me and the bank. Three ish hit while it was still alling(suspended)? , the other our hit while I was reeling in slowly o the bottom. I'm sure I would have gotten a ew more i I ished earlier or later.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: The urther back you go, the better. Try dierent things. It does not have to be a baby brushhog, but I do know they like them. Obviously you can't bring all your tackle with you, so you have to have a little game plan. A couple o rods and a ew dierent lures and techniques. You don't want to be dragging !@$#% all over the lake. Blades, brushhogs and senkos or me. Maybe rattletrap also with the wind and suspended ish. Bring water and most o all be careul. No ish is worth getting hurt over. Finally, I could not help but notice all the debris out there. Its pathetic. I you can, try and pick up a ew pieces out there and put in garbage can on the way out. It can make a dierence. These !@#holes are ruining it out there or everybody. Some spots look like the dumps.

Report: Hey revrat, read your report. Start throwing big brushhogs(watermelon/red or junebug) with smelly jelly. Texas rig with 5/0 EWG. Trust me. I ish there sometimes. My neighbors ather owns a lot o land out there and he brings me out to his athers house sometimes. His backyard is Soulajule. Its awsome. They bite pretty good because there's no pressure. Blades are also good. Char/white with Yamamoto 5" single tail grub(green pumpkin). Also a Berkeley power lizard in black is good or a trailer. Hang on. They love them brushhogs. I'm sure Senko will deinitely work i wind is not blowing.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: Wind blowing -texas rig and blades. Try and get way back as ar as you can away rom the dam. I think that would be southeast i I got my bearings right. Work your way back and I'm sure you'll run in to them somewhere. Give yoursel enough time to ish areas slowly with the brushhog. Heck i wind is blowing, throw that LuckyCrat Pointer 100 rip bait. It should work. There's some good size ish out there i you're willing to put the time in. Good luck.

    Water Temp: ????

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Decided to try to ish this lake even though the water has been very low since July. Wind blowing about six thousand mph, so no senko throwing even attempted. Started ishing topwaters, and nothing. All the grass that was here early in the year is dead and gone, and there is a bloom o the nasty "green goo" algae, that gets all over everything. My girlriends brother came along with me and we ound some decent looking water toward the west end o the lake near the big satellite station. He threw a Meps Comet against my advice, and promptly hooked up. I elt stupid, and he landed the ish. Turns out it was about a 10 inch rainbow. Neat surprise, since there are not supposed to be any trout in there, and now I eel less stupid, because, ater all, we are BASS MEN! Anyway, I did manage to land one 2 pounder in the wind on a white spinnerbait with gold willow blades. Fell down on steep bank and bruised my ass and twisted my ankle, so called it a day.
    City: Rohnert Park

Tips: This lake is a really good ishing hole or bank only anglers early in the year, with good numbers o bass with pretty good size to them i you don't mind walking a while to ind them. Lots o crappie here to, in the spring/early summer. I don't think I will ish it again until the rains come to reill the lake to more decent level.

Report: Fished the north side in the evening, 6:00-8:45. Threw everything at them including every color plastic rigged every di. way, cranks, topwater, etc. Two o us caught 0 ish and no bites. Weather was horrible; wind and og. That may have shut them down. Even the crappies wouldn't hit.I'll be back......
    City: San Anselmo

Tips: Never ished this lake. Anybody got any tips or me? Feel ree to e-mail.

    Water Temp: warm??

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bass have slowed down a bit with the water level dropping, but the crappie are smoking right now. Last couple times out, caught and released somewhere in the neighborhood o **50 to 60** crappie, and another trip with a couple guys that produced about 40 ish. Little white jigs on 4lb does the trick. Did manage to pick up a small handul o 1-1.5 lb bass on the little rod. What un that is.
    City: rohnert park

Tips: little white grub in shallow water near grass will get you all the crappie you care to mess with right now. Work slow across the top o the grass.

    Water Temp: warm enough

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: It seems the topwater bite has begun! Caught in the neighborhood o ten ish rom about 10" up to about 6.5 lbs, that being my biggest bass since moving to CA. Caught a couple on wht/char spinnerbait, and a couple on Senko, and the rest, including the big one on blue and white Zara Puppy. I LOVE TOPWATER!!Should just get better and better now.
    City: rohnert park

Tips: Wait until the sun dips below the mountains, and then start in with the topwater stu. I did see a mountain lion on the opposite bank, and this is a bank only lake, so keep your eyes open i you go there.

    Water Temp: warm

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 5pm to 8pm Easter Sunday and absolutely kicked butt on them with white/char blades with a black Berkeley power lizard as a trailer. Just take o the head and thread it on. Also scored well with big watermelon/red Zoom brushhogs and Exude watermelon/red brushhogs. Everything came o the lats. You have to ind the lats. I ished the very end o the resevoir going south away rom the dam. Don't ish the steep banks. These ish are big and ull o eggs. They are healthy and ull o ight. All ish caught in 2-3t o water.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: Throw blades until you ind them. Then throw plastics. You might want to do this beore the weekend comes because I heard another ront was coming in and might move the ish back o the lats. Willowlea blades and lots o smellyjelly on your brushhogs. Good luck.
