Report: Hit the water right at 8:00. Lake is full and really beautiful. Caught a 5 lb about 8:20 along the bluff across from the picnic grounds and a 3 lb about 9:30 in the narrows-again right off shore along a bluff. Both hit BB rapala. Covered the back pretty well, nada. The lake needs to turn over its crystal clear at the moment.
    City: Palo ALto

Tips: I would concentrate on deep water close (right next) to shore until the water warms a bit and the lake turns over.

Report: Started the day at about 11 left around 4. The guy checking the "vessels" said somebody walkin the shore caught an 8 last week, by accident? I ended the day with 8 fish to speak of, all but one came from 30ft of bank within 30 minutes of each other. Handful of little males an two better size fish back to back one about 4 the other a little smaller. 7 of the 8 fish came on blades and one on a split shot zipper worm. Threw swimbaits, jigs, jerkbaits, texas rig....Rowed to the picture perfect back of the lake with trees an the channel and points and nada, not one fish, wtf is that? i know they're there. Talked to two guys in a tin boat sayin they got a couple about 3 in the back the same time i was there.

Tips: Whats it take to get the big mama's out here? I know theres ten+ lb fish i've seen'em on beds in the past. So whats the secret?

Report: First fish of the year near the dam, parking lot side. Maybe 12" long, on Texas rigged Robo. Not bad for 1/2 hour before work. Saw a few fish jumping. No reports since mine last fall. Anyone been trying here?
    City: sunnyvale

Tips: No mad skills here, but I was slow-bouncing the bottom.

Report: Bank fished with a Texas-rigged 4" Robo curly-tail in Aaron's Magic for 4 fish. 2 dinks off the old ramp at the picnic area early, 1 fish about 1-1.5lb from the parking lot side of the dam, and finished up with about a 2-2.5lber from the old land-slide structure near the point across from the picnic area. All fish came out of 6-8 feet of water near areas holding lots of fingerling baby bass.
    City: sunnyvale

Tips: Every where I got bit, there were schools of young bass and the Aaron's Magic curly tail sure seems to resemble a baby bass!

Tried brown skirted doubletail grub, purple tubes, and purple/black/brown worms - no fish caught.

Water is very low. Very few others fishing here. Watched one man pull in a catfish, otherwise didn't see anyone having luck. Talked to someone who'd been there all day and skunked too.

Report: What a difference a day makes, or maybe its the lakes. Another typical day at Stevens with 7 fish in 3 hours. Nothing over 2 today, all on plastics. Key is working bait slowly but with a lot of twitches. All caught in 15-25' with bass relating to bottom structure changes.
    City: San Jose

    Tips: need some.

Report: Slow day fishin, 5 bass 3 hours, biggest goin 4.18 on a black jig. Couple 2's on carolina rigged senkos, and rest dinks on dropshot.

Tips: Not much structure here on or around the shoreline. Finding bass as off main lake points, and deeper submerged trees/stumps. Get a decent fishfinder, its helped me tons.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: anyone else fish for bass here? I've been having decent fishin the past few weeks using plastics very very very slow. Flippin weedless senkos into structure, drop-shotting walls and points, and an occasional jig fish. Tried jerkbaits, topwater baits, rattles, cranks, buzz, spinners, and nothing. Caught a few 10+ers using swim baits during the DFG trout stocking. Emphasize SLOW fishing. Biggest fish was 5.4 caught dead-stickin, put my rod down to swich baits on another rod, picked it up an fish on!
    City: San Jose/South Lake Tahoe

Tips: SLOW SLOW SLOW. slight twitches to plastic baits and then dead-stick. Will get bit when bait appears to die. Same with senkos, when not hitting on the drop, they hit dead-sticking.

Report: caught a nice sized rainbow trout on "trout krilla" floating trout bait. Tossed out from the left side of the floating dock to about 11 o clock, 20 feet out.

Then watched a cute girl *if your single and happen to read this, man I wish i would have at least got your name.. lol*
anyways back to the girl, watched her drop shot and catch 6 Bass. She was working the sides going out away from the boat launch, had what looked like a roboworm of some sort and an interesting looking weight. looked like an inch long, thin/tubular piece of lead.
