Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lake levels are really low, esp with little rain fall. Now is a good time to walk around the back part of the lake to notice all the nooks, tree trunks etc that are normally under water. The back part of the lake is also very muddy.

    Water Temp: 55ish

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: caught a 4.5 fat girl, prolly full of eggs, dropshotting. Red lips, throw craws. Lake might be down 12 feet but as long as its not muddy its still okay fishing. I caught the fish around 10, fished til 1 without anything else.
    City: santa clara

Tips: I guess if you can find the girls that are beefing up for the spawn than you hit the jackpot. Watch them later on moving to near the boat launch to pick up rainbow trout and later moving to the creek channel if the lake gets high enough. theres real nice spawning flats back there. tight lines!

    Water Temp: 68?

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: got on the water at 8 am, in my kick boat. Started in the back and caught two small fish, about a pound, pound and a half on a hard suspending jerk bait. continued towards the main boat ramp with no action. Tried spinner baits, drop shotting and flipping, with no action.
    City: Palo Alto

Tips: get there early and stay in the back near the bushes. there seems to be a window of like 30 min where the fish are feeding, and being agressive.

    Water Temp: probably...52

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: hey Sam.. don't worry about the mercury in that lake..I'm sure at this time of year the water is a green,, light blue green.. clear as hell..I dont know if hell is clear..but if your fishing for the planter's..the rainbow's will be 15 feet below..try trolling a borken back rapala.. two feet under the water. Rainbow's don't care about first light..I would use somthing that look's like what they eat..shad... something with some red..and when your trolling.. slow.. pull up on the rod and let it come up... injured fish...try it and let me know here.. Good luck and Happy Holiday's.. I will probably see ya out there..

Report: I have been thinking about this mercury in the trout at stevens creek. If they are hatchery fish and most of them dont stay there very long before getting caught, how could they have that much mercury in them unless the hatchery has mercury?

    Water Temp: 60s

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I have hit a stride. I am two for two in the sense the last two times i went, i have caughten a fish. Specifically bass. And as Stevens Creek is rare in catching one everytime, or even every 1 outta 100 times, i will keep the spot secret. But the method was drop shotting 4inch robo worms, i just tried to match the worm color with the water that i could see and it worked.
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: Try matching your plastics' colors with the color of the water...at Stevens Creek, you would want something like a 'dark yellow almost dark green' color, good luck and tight lines.
