Went out in my loat tube rom around 3:30-7:00 ishing mainly the cove right next to the launch ramp and the one next to it. When i was ishing near the launch ramp all the sudden i look down and there are a bunch o small 1-3inch baby bass (i think they were) They ollowed me everywhere I went but they didnt bring any o their parents along with them...so i ended up with nothing except a missed, what looked to be, 5lber. using a green 6inch senko.

It had a crappie in its mouth as well. Continued and caught several other 1 lbs ish. AROUND 8 I casted adjacent to a tree in the center o the shallow area and hooked up with a 7 pounder. great ight and a great ish. Looked like she was ull o eggs. great day. Early bite has been good and with the warm weather it will probably get even better. tight lines

    Water Temp: 60.8

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Hit the water with Chad rom Fishermans Warehouse in San Jose rom 6:00pm - 7:30pm rom the boat. Was able to get a 1.8lb bass on a 1/2oz Persuader White spinnerbait w/ white willow lea blades. Male was on a bed in about 2' o water near the launch ramp. That was pretty much it or the day. Pounded the banks with white spinnerbaits and dropshot the coves without a bite. Didn't have enough time to hit the ar back end o the lake so we made do with the time we had.
    City: Los Altos

Tips: Either ish or trout or go to a dierent lake. This lake doesn't have a large population o bass. There are some, but the absence o thredin shad must keep the numbers down in this lake.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Work was slow so I was able to get on the water at 4:30pm today with the boat. Started making my way to the south end o the lake near the ire station. Threw a lot o stu again but had a hit on a purple culprit work knock o loaded with scent on the irst pitch. Didn't have enough time to set the hook as it immediately spit the bait out. Tried throwing a senko, drop shotting, etc and couldn't get anything to take the bait. I did see a guy land a 4lb bass on a 5" senko w/ curly tail (green color he said). I ended up throwin the senko the rest o the day ater seeing that. I did see a number o small ish in the shallows, tons o carp in the south end but no bed ish just yet.

    Water Temp: 59.0

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 6:00-7:15pm again rom the boat. Looks like I inally igured out the color as I had 2 ish nibble the bait and one 13" ish landed dropshotting a 4" Oxblood Magic Worm on 6lb test. Looks like there are a number o ish that are in the shallow protected coves or in 30-40 eet o water. This helps me eliminate unproductive water and now I can target a ew areas that I haven't had time to ocus on ater work. As I was pulling the boat out I ran into one o the park rangers by the name o Eddie Ancheta. Really nice guys, turns out he's one o the rangers who ish or bass in the Santa Clara county parks. We talked or about 20 min exchanging ideas and talking about available orage, etc at Stevens Creek. He said that there's no thread in shad which eliminates throwing a spinnerbait or crankbait here. There are crawdads, blue gill, stocked trout, carp (some in the 20lb+ range), crappie and some sturgeon. He also told me that last week a shore isherman landed a 40lb sturgeon in ront o him and Fish and Game. Later ound out that they guys took the ish to Fishermans Warehouse rom my buddy Chad.Next time out I'm going to bring my Aqua Vu and igure out what type o ish I'm graphing in 30-40 eet o water.

Tried split shotting a 6" striaght tail purple work and dropshotting a 3" gobi in a natural shad color. Nothing.Maybe next time I'll bring my AquaVu and see what kind o ish they are. Water Temp: 57.2-57.9

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took the boat out to Stevens Creek once again to try and igure out this lake rom 4:30pm - 7:00pm. Water level is really high due to the last rain storm and gin clear (6'-10' visibility in some areas). Lake looks like it's pretty ull and the bass should either be staging w/ some early spawners. Problem is that I couldn't get a ish to ollow or bite. Threw white spinnerbait, various T-rigged sot plastics, drop shot, carolina rig, senko and white deep little N crank bait or nothing. I did speak with a couple o shore isherman and he said a guy down the way caught one bass up close on a spinnerbait or 5lbs. He also told me the area that I was concentrating on was good or bass o the point into the cove, however he wasn't catching anything either. He said he usually does better when the water has a little stain to it. Trout were planted last week and looks like the next trout plant is April 27 according to the sign. Reservoir will be closed when the trout are planted.BTW, I'm pretty much the only boat on the water (Red Ranger Bass Boat). I you see me out there stop by and say hi.

Report: I ished on sunday march 9th. I was at the boat dock just ishing at the right o the boat dock under some loating logs using a light green senko with a hook you use in tubes. I casted behind the loating logs and bounced it o the bottom until I saw my line go immediatly let. I set the hook and brought in my FIRST STEVENS CREEK FISH, a healty 1-1.5lb large mouth bass. That was a good day even though i didn't get another. When the park started to close Me and my riend saw the birds diving meaning there are trout right under the birds, but the ranger didn't let me go.
