Mohave California

Lake Mohave was formed in 1953 with the completion of Davis Dam. The Lake is 67 miles long and has 44 miles of surface acres. The lake also has up to 17 feet annual vertical fluctuation and current that can get as high as 16 miles per hour. Lake Mohave is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and is operated by the National Park Service. While the lake is a habitat for fish and wildlife; it also captures and delays the discharge of flash floods from side washes below Hoover Dam. Rainbow...
