Report: Wanted to try out new Cal-West drop shot rod, so brother and I went to LB Creek to see if we could get bit. Got on the water at 6:00am and I caught three fish in the first fifteen minutes all on the drop shot; they would not eat spinner bait(white/shad, fluke(pearl)or crank bait(chart/shad) so I got out the new drop shot rod and caught three on a Keeper 082 4" worm.
We did not get bit again until late in the day and I ended up catching about twenty more from 7:00pm until dark.
Pitching drop shot to edge of tullies and just shaking it for a couple of seconds.
Biggest one was pushing five with a bunch of 1.5-2.5 fish.
    City: Hilmar

Tips: Pitch to tully edges and creek channel breaks. Early and late were great, mid day sucked!

Report: Fished yesterday evening from about 5:30 until sundown. The fish seem to be suspended no real pattern. Tried spinnerbait, crankbait, topwater, ripbait, texas rig, jiggs, shakeyhead.Caught 3 on a ripbait and 1 on t-rig. No topwater action at all. All fish caught seemed real sluggish. the biggest was a solid 2 3/4 to 3. The wind was blowing pretty good.Might have caught more fish if I would have pulled off the bank. All fish were caught about 10' off of the bank.
    City: Denair

Tips: The reason why I threw topwater, I talked to a friend who fished there last Monday and had several blow ups.Used a Staycee 90 chartruse shad all fish hit on a long pause 30+ plus seconds or longer.Pitched a jig tight in the tullies no hits.

Report: CBL- Christain Bass League had another great day on the water. 17 teams enjoyed an unbelievable day of sight fishing. All the top finishers say parking in the tulies and targeting the beds was the key. Six teams were father/son type and all got prizes. Brushhogs, worms and even the drop-shot brought fish to the boat. We didn't have any fish in the boat at 1230 and by 1330 we had 6+ pounds at the scale. The BOY, Colton, caught his first bed fish. All for us came on the sweet beaver and Besersk creature style baits. M&R Gomez was the top Competitive finsiher with 12#11oz and the Taylors were the top Mixed team with 9#4oz.
    City: Turlockl

Tips: The sight fishing is on like crazy. If you can teach someone how, now is the time. If you are bed fishing RELEASE ALL YOU CATCH for next year!!!
