Future Pro Tour Come to the California Delta!

Nothing excites tournament bass anglers like the California Delta. It's 1100 miles of seemingly endless waterways calls out to those in search of bass fishing excitement like no other body of water can. A lot of that excitement lies in the fact that most anglers know that any one cast, at anytime, to any area in the delta.. can, and often does result in a producing largemouth bass ranging in the 9 to 10 pound class.

And you can best believe that EXCITEMENT is what's in store for anglers preparing to compete in the upcoming Future Pro Tour event on the California Delta Saturday, June 5th!

Brannon Island will be the staging point for this 4th event of the 2004 season, as anglers battle it out for points and a coveted berth in this year's 2004 Future Pro Tour Classic presented by People's Folsom Lake/People's Stockton-Chrysler-Jeep-Nissan-Hyundai-Isuzu dealerships. The grand prize given to the Future Pro Tour champions will be the keys to a new vehicle - of their choice - courtesy of this 5-star award winning dealership!

Also noteworthy, is the battle for the Anglers of the Year crown. In addition to dubbing the winners 'the best amateur team in the west', this title carries with it free entries into next year's Future Pro Tour events, product sponsorships with Lucky Craft Lures, Reaction Innovations, and Lamiglas, and free portfolio/resume services courtesy of Angler's Press.

Clint 'Stogie Man' Basset and Ernest Lujan currently lead the points race with newcomers Mark Daniels and Harvey Pulliman 'nipping' at their heels. "The Delta's our backyard and we've got to show strong at these next two Delta events", said Harvey, a first-year competitor on the Future Pro Tour circuit. Harvey is new to the Future Pro Tour but not new to competition, as he played major league baseball with the Colorado Rockies and in Japan.

June can sometimes prove to be 'feast or famine' for those pursing bass on the river as post-spawn fish tend to scatter out into many different areas. But pre-fishing for the up-coming B.A.S.S event, noted pro angler Kent Brown was very candid about the time he has spent patterning fish on the river. "Open water areas such as Frank's Tract are good right now, and there is a Frog bite to be had", Kent noted. "Lately, the bite's been much better for me as the tide is falling rather than when it's all the way out", he further added.

The day prior to the event from 5-7pm at Peoples Stockton-Jeep-Nissan-Hyundai automall, the Future Pro Tour will present a seminar, featuring Delta expert and undisputed 'Frogmaster' Bobby Barrack, who will share with these amateur anglers some of the secrets that have made him a force to reckon with on the river. As featured in his popular video, "Just One More Cast" Bobby will talk about the various methods he uses to catch Delta bass and how to stay on top of a pattern during tournament situations.

And don't miss out, during this pre-registration/seminar period the Future Pro Tour will celebrate the half-way point in it's season with a giveaway extravaganza! Just some of the prizes those in attendance can win will be: a Minn Kota 65lb thrust trolling motor; a free guide trip with Bobby Barrack on the Delta; a Bottom Line Depth finder; Two tickets to the upcoming NASCAR race at Infineon raceway; Free Gasoline Cards; Oil Changes; Trojan Gel Batteries; Free launch passes and more!

Free BBQ and drinks will be available so bring the entire family..and join in on the fun!

Late sign-ups will be available the morning of the event at the Brannon Island launch ramp from 4-6am, with blast-off commencing at safelight. Get there early as this is going to be a BIG field of anglers!
