Brentwood, CA (December 13, 2004) It was announced today that the US Anglers Choice Pro-Am Tournament Trail will be filmed and aired on WesternBass.TV. The first event on Lake Oroville is scheduled for January 15th and 16th, 2005. In a slightly different approach, the TV cameras will take a pro and amateur angler and film each from the pre-fish stage straight through to the final weigh in and potentially the awards ceremony, documenting a complete tournament as it unfolds for these anglers.
The amateur angler will be pre-selected through a screening process to take place on the Northern California Fishing Forum of WesternBass.Com. Amateur anglers are encouraged to join in on a thread of posts to become eligible for selection by US Anglers Choice tournament staff.
This will make the viewers get a real feel for what really goes on, and the results. It’s going to get pretty exciting! Look for the announcements of the selected anglers real soon.
US Anglers Choice Pro Am Tournaments are in their second year offering tournaments on popular Northern California lakes. The 2005 Pro-Am schedule includes stops on Lake Oroville January 15-16, Lake Shasta February 26-27, the California Delta April 2-3 and Clear Lake May 21-22. The 2005 Pro-Am Tournament of Champions will be held November 12-13 on Clear Lake.
A Bass Cat Classic bass boat with 200 Mercury Optimax is awarded to the winner of each event.
