‘WAL-MART FLW OUTDOORS’ TV HIGHLIGHTS 2005 WAL-MART OPEN ON BEAVER LAKE

Show concludes with crowning of co-angler champion

MINNEAPOLIS (May 4, 2005) — Tune in Sunday, May 8 to “Wal-Mart FLW Outdoors” on FSN as co-hosts Charlie Evans and Keith Lebowitz take viewers to the $1.25 million Wal-Mart Open Powered by Tyson on Beaver Lake. The fourth tournament of the FLW Tour season awarded the winning bass pro a cash purse of $200,000.

The one-hour show is the first of a two-part series covering the fourth event of the $7.6 million FLW Tour season and concludes with the winning co-angler receiving a check for $40,000. The tournament featured 400 top bass anglers from the United States, Japan and Australia.

The show presents multiple mini-features with the 10 pros that made the cutoff after two days of competition. The features include FLW Tour pros Alvin Shaw of State Road, N.C., Jeremiah Kindy of Benton, Ark., Darrel Robertson of Jay, Okla., and FLW Tour rookie Clifford Pirch of Payson, Ariz.

Country music singer Craig Morgan, who performed a free concert at the 2005 Wal-Mart Open, gives FSN viewers a special on-the-water rendition of his hit single “That’s What I Love About Sundays,” as he and pro angler Robert Pearson enjoy a day on the water.

The show also presents a flashback to the 2002 Wal-Mart Open when pro Andre Moore of Scottsdale, Ariz., took first place by using a prototype lure he eventually named the Sweet Beaver after the site of his first FLW Tour victory. Moore was able to apply his $200,000 winnings from that tournament to start Reaction Innovations, a bait company that now has a loyal following among pro anglers. Watch as Moore has once again made the top-10 cut and during a memorable return to Beaver Lake.

In addition, FLW Tour pro Chad Grigsby of Colon, Mich., participates in this edition of Fishing 101. Grigsby, who is currently in 20th place in the FLW Tour standings, shows fishing fans the best lures for sight-fishing.
